NRG Panel

I personally wouldn't recommend this company. From the beginning it was a little mess. I wasn't sure what was going on. The pannels are working and they were installed quick...too quick I would say. When they finished i didn't know when everyone was gone. Nobody asked are we happy with the job or even the word there was more space on the roof to fit more pannels. I had to ring the office and ask to fit in more even we did asked before to fit as many as they can. Then I've heard over the phone how is it possible to have space left maybe the boys didn't fit them properly? That's the last thing I wanna hear. Anyway extra pannels went up quick as well but finishing touches are not great you can see on the pictures. Cables not hidden outside properly just hanging and inside covering it's a joke. See the pictures... overall there is so many companies out there I wish we picked someone else especially they weren't the cheapest out there.

Fantastic professional service From my initial enquiry to the final installation my experience has been fantastic. I had my first meeting / consultation online with all my questions answered and then details of quote sent for me to think about. I waited a few months to consider my options then contacted them again to review and added things to my order. I then had a consultant visit me at home who went through every detail of my quote, I paid my deposit and agreed my contract. I was advised there would be a 6 / 7 month wait which I was happy with. I then had a visit from surveyor and a confirmed month for installation. Our installation happened as planned with 6 people in total who worked for 2 full days to install the 20 panels with battery and inverter etc. Everything was completed professionally and expertly with a complete run down and teaching session on how to use / read the app etc. Also a special thanks to the staff in the office who dealt with my phone calls / emails re seai grant approval and also the an post loan application I made. They went above and beyond to help me. Every phone call / email was answered exceptionally fast and efficiently. I would recommend this company to everyone. 10 / 10 Date of experience: 08 May 2023

From the initial contact to the installation, customer service was without fault, easy to contact, real people on the phone and they know the product. Site survey and installation team were excellent, system is performing as expected. Keep the sun shining!

Last Friday I had the NRG folks around as they were booked to install a 10 solar panels system. On the day my interactions with all team members were extremely pleasant, everyone was really professional and their overall work was extremely clean. The team arrived early in the morning at the time they said they will. Within 3 hours from their arrival on site, the panels were up and already producing electricity, so yeah not much else to say, just a BIG Thank you to NRG for their amazing work.

NRG Panel installed an 8kW system on my garage roof. From the original quote to completion it was a pleasure to deal with this company. The quote was fair and extremely detailed, the installation date given was kept precisely and the system was up and running the same day. The NRG Panel team worked efficiently, cleanly and tidily, ensuring we knew exactly how to operate the system. The backup from the office staff was superb - assisting with the grant application, checking and double checking everything to ensure the graft application was complete in every way. I would highly recommend this company to anyone.

I got basic system installed by them…

I got basic system installed by them via electricireland few years ago. Wanted to do more panels and work and despite emailing, phoning amd leaving messages, no replies!! Wanted advise on current system but no contacts !! They probably thrive via Govt grants plus personal connections in big companies as it seems..... I will NOT go to them again . They have changed their name to ohk or something now!

Very slow service

Very slow service , the solar failed and Electrician failed to turn up for the arrange appointment after waiting nearly 2 weeks for an appointment , Have to wait another week for the next appointment and no guarantee an electrician will turn up for the next appointment either , So it will be three 3 weeks since solar generation failed before it might get looked at . I would expect service to be quicker.

Female customers beware

Myself and my husband had an online meeting with a rep. I introduced myself at the start of the meeting. After a boring 45 minute presentation the rep asked my husband what he thought-completey ignoring me!! My husband deferred to me and when the rep quoted us I was so annoyed I said I'd pay €4k less than what he quoted and he said yes?!?!!! Ridiculous, sexist and untrustworthy. We obviously didn't go with them

I recently had my solar system…

I recently had my solar system installed by NRG Solar, and I’m very happy with the entire experience. The team — two electricians and two roofers — worked efficiently, professionally, and with great attention to detail. They were polite, well-organized, and left everything clean and tidy once the job was done. Special thanks to Rob Cook, who managed the project perfectly from start to finish. He was clear in his communication, answered all my questions, and made sure everything was completed to a high standard. Overall, NRG Solar delivered excellent service and workmanship. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable and professional solar installation company.

Glycol - top up

I am extremely disappointed with NRG Panel. They were supposed to come on 16/10 to top up the glycol. They showed up, charged me €205, but in reality did absolutely nothing. I only discovered this year that the work I paid for was never carried out. This is unacceptable, unprofessional, and feels like outright dishonesty. When a company charges for a service, the least they can do is actually perform it. I would strongly advise anyone considering NRG Panel to think twice before using their services. Based on my experience, I cannot trust them and will not be dealing with them again.
