SEAI Registered Solar Installers

Visit the SEAI website at seai.ie and search the Solar PV Company register. Only installers on this register can complete grant-eligible installations. You should verify registration before signing any contract.

Get at least 3 quotes from different SEAI-registered installers. Compare not just price, but also the panel brand, inverter model, warranty terms, and whether scaffolding and BER assessment are included. Prices can vary 15–25% between installers for the same system.

Ask about the specific panel brand and model, inverter type (hybrid recommended if you may add a battery), warranty terms (minimum 25-year product warranty), whether the quote includes scaffolding and BER assessment, their timeline for installation, and how they handle the SEAI grant paperwork and ESB Networks NC6 form.

SEAI registration is the Irish standard and is required to complete SEAI grant-eligible installations in the Republic of Ireland. MCS (Microgeneration Certification Scheme) is the UK equivalent. Some installers operating near the border hold both certifications. For Irish homeowners, SEAI registration is the one that matters for grant eligibility.
