We use Simple Analytics to understand how visitors use our site. Simple Analytics does not use cookies, does not track you across sites, and does not collect personal data. It is fully GDPR compliant without requiring consent.

How We Use Your Data

Quote Requests

When you request a quote, we share your contact details with SEAI-registered solar panel installers who serve your area. This is the core purpose of our service: connecting homeowners with qualified installers.

We may also use your email to:

  • Confirm receipt of your quote request
  • Send helpful information about solar panels (if you opt in)

Who We Share Data With

  • Solar installers: Your quote request details are shared with SEAI-registered installers in your county so they can contact you.
  • Service providers: We use Mailgun for email delivery and MongoDB for data storage. These providers process data on our behalf under GDPR-compliant agreements.

We do not sell your data to third parties.

Your Rights (GDPR)

Under GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access: Request a copy of the data we hold about you
  • Rectification: Ask us to correct inaccurate data
  • Erasure: Ask us to delete your data
  • Restriction: Ask us to limit how we use your data

Data Retention

We retain quote request data for up to 2 years to handle any follow-up queries. After this period, data is deleted unless you have an ongoing relationship with us or an installer.

We do not use tracking cookies. Simple Analytics is cookie-free. If you log in to a dashboard area, we use a session cookie to keep you logged in. This is essential for the service to function and does not require consent.

Children

Our service is for homeowners aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top will change. For significant changes, we will notify users by email where possible.
