What customers say on
Ferm Engineering installed our solar panels and battery system earlier this year and the whole experience was excellent. From the initial discussions through to installation and commissioning, everything was handled professionally and clearly. The quality of the workmanship was very high, the system was well thought through, and the team were tidy, punctual and easy to deal with. They took the time to explain how everything works and answered questions without any sales pressure. We’ve been very happy with the performance of the system since. I’d have no hesitation recommending Ferm Engineering.
We had Ferm Engineering install solar panels and batteries at our house in Co. Sligo and we couldn’t be happier with the result. From start to finish, the team were professional, knowledgeable and easy to deal with. The installation was carried out efficiently and to a very high standard, with everything clearly explained along the way. The system is working perfectly and the workmanship is excellent. We would highly recommend Ferm Engineering to anyone considering solar panels.
Ferm Engineering fitted our solar panels and battery system earlier this year, and the service was outstanding from beginning to end. From the first conversation right through to installation and commissioning, everything was communicated clearly and carried out professionally and they were happy to answer my questions without any pushy sales approach. The first step was installing the solar panels on both sides of our roof (East/West configuration). The installation team were friendly, professional, tidy and quick, and the job was completed in two days with zero issues. Next, the electricians came to do all the wiring and connect the inverter and battery. They were friendly, professional, tidy and punctual, and I’ve had no issues at all since the install. The quality of the workmanship was very high, I also had a few follow-up questions afterwards and Ferm Engineering were quick to provide the help I needed. I was lucky enough to secure an SEAI grant for the install, and Ferm Engineering submitted the required DOF documentation to SEAI. Everything went smoothly and I received the grant with no problems. I’ve been very happy with the performance of the system since, and I’d have no hesitation recommending Ferm Engineering. Thanks for everything guys, especially a big shoutout to Alice :)
Hi I am delighted with my ground mounted solar panels have produced more than 33% more kws that we have used over the past 12 months. The exact most we have pay is still a little early to say but it is in the low €100's for using 4600 units ( lThis is an average usage). Kudos to Paddy, Aliceand Jim. Happy Christmas to all at Ferm Engineering.
Ferm Engineering installed solar panels and battery at our house in Rosses Point a few months ago. All done in two days. Excellent job and working perfectly. Would highly recommend this company.
Ben Bulben and the Dartry Mountains affect local conditions
The dramatic limestone plateau of Ben Bulben and the Dartry Mountains in north Sligo create localised weather effects. Properties in the shadow of these mountains, around Glencar and the valleys south of Ben Bulben, experience reduced winter sunshine due to the steep terrain. However, the coastal lowlands around Strandhill and Mullaghmore are more exposed but receive better light. The sheltered valleys around Riverstown and Ballymote in south Sligo tend to have the most consistent solar conditions, away from both coastal exposure and mountain shading.
