What customers say on
Delighted with our A1 BER rating! Home Comfort Retrofits did a One Stop Shop full retrofit on our 1998 home last year, bringing it from a D1 rating to an A1. The staff on site were friendly and professional and treated our home with respect. The work was carried out to a very high standard, and we can really feel the difference in the warmth and heating costs since the retrofit was completed
The team at Home Comfort Retrofits carried out a One-Stop-Shop for my apartment in Spring/Summer 2024. From the beginning assessment to final checks, the whole team were highly efficient, personable and professional, with a very impressive attention to detail. The works were carried out in full in approx. 3 months, and I am so happy with the result, which brought my apartment from an F energy rating to a A2. They have been very easy to follow up with for any minor issues or queries I have, responding rapidly and with genuine interest in providing the best service. I would highly recommend them for any works. Thanks very much folks!
HCR carried out roof insulation works on my house as part of the SEAI grant system. From first contact, HCR were very easy to deal with, very clear with communication and always available to speak to prior to commencing work. During the works phase, the installers were incredibly professional and diligent in their work. They did a great job on our roof and left the house in a very clean state. They also handled the SEAI grant admin end of things very promptly. Would definitely recommend for house upgrade works
I recently enquired about having some retro-fit work done and I found Wayne to be very knowledgeable and easy to deal with. Their office were also very efficient in dealing with my enquiry and I've now got a clear blue print of how to go about improving my energy efficiently and the grants available to me to do so.
From the initial engagement with Home Comfort Retrofits, I was at ease with their professionalism and planning putting me at ease with the whole project from start to finish. During the execution of the project they were always professional and courteous and ensuring cleanliness and protection of all aspects of the property during construction. The staff during construction were extremely facilitating and any queries I had, were promptly followed up on and closed. All staff portrayed extreme professionalism and an ownership model towards the customer needs and satisfaction. My sincere thank you to all the staff at Home Comfort Retrofits
Offaly's bog heritage and post-Bord na Mona energy transition
Offaly was the heartland of Ireland's peat industry, with extensive Bord na Mona bogs around Ferbane, Cloghan, and Rhode. As peat harvesting has wound down, several former bog sites are being repurposed for renewable energy, including solar farms. This energy transition has raised local awareness of solar power and created a workforce with transferable skills. The flat, open former bogland provides excellent solar conditions with zero shading and good road access for installation vehicles.
