What customers say on
I was very happy with the solar panels installation, by Solarhome. They supplied all the information needed in advance, Inc system details and an accurate quotation. The installation arrived on the appointed date and time, and was up and running in the one day. The installation work was neat and tidy and done to a high standard. Follow-up was excellent also, to ensure we had everything in order to get our grant. Start to finish an excellent experience....... The system works away silently, without any issues and my electricity bill has reduced substantially.....
Having considered Solar PV for my house a couple of times in the past this time the difference which made me go ahead was the fact that you can now sell back to the grid. Once we decided to go for it I asked 3 companies to provide a quote. The first company called out done a quick site inspection and provided an estimate before leaving. The second company also called promptly and did a site survey but took a week longer to quote and weren't any better value. The third was Solar Home and it was a different level of service. First within an hour of filling out an enquiry form on their website I received a call back. During the call the salesperson had Google maps open and used it to ascertain what direction my roof surfaces were oriented toward (very important for solar) and also worked out roughly how many panels could be accommodated. From this he could already give me a rough quote, and also arranged a technical visit for the following morning. The site visit ended in a refined quote based on our usage of electric, our options for panel and battery placement, and possible combinations that would help make the most of our potential for solar generation. This visit was concluded with a very competitive quote that was actually cheaper than both competitors and would provide a higher number of panels with a higher output per panel, and roughly double the battery capacity (which has already begun to pay off on cloudy days and allowed me to buy at night rates sell at higher day rates to the grid, arbitrage). Once I decided to go ahead I was installed within a few weeks with no delays on the process for the grant. The install was very low hassle. We were given a comprehensive walk through of the app to control and monitor the system. And since the install I have had a very helpful call with one of the technical team in the office which really helped me to understand how to get the most out of the system. But what everyone really wants to know is how is it performing. Well we received our first bill the solar was in for 6 out of the 8 weeks and 70% of the bill was standing charges, levy's, and VAT. Overall the bill was tiny. Given we run an electric car, all our heating (air to water heat pump), and everything you'd expect of a busy 4 person household. 95% of the 6 weeks was essentially cost free from a unit charge perspective. And had I leveraged the tech team members knowledge a little sooner I could have probably pushed it to 100%.
The best decision I ever made getting Solar Panels installed by Skyline Solar, having spent loads of time reviewing other Companies I was referred to this company by a friend of mine who got them installed over a year ago. From talking to Catherine in the office and then Darragh everything was explained simply, had Dara call to the house to go through everything and anything I needed was done. The crew arrived on time and had everything done and on the grid by the time they had left. I can't recommend this company enough,if your thinking about getting Solar panels give them a call you will not be disappointed.
Solar Homes made the process from initial query to installation and support seamless. They are a very efficient and effective operation and I would highly recommend them. Oh and they are all really pleasant to deal with so if you are thinking of investing give them a call. I don't think you will be disappointed.
Hi, Solar Home installed a solar system for me in October 2021. I had purposely left providing a review for some time so that my review could give a proper reflection of the company\system and seen as I happened upon Colm today, it reminded me! The system includes solar panels with a combined output of 4.5kW, an inverter, two 5.7kWh batteries and an eddi diverter. I am very happy with everything to do with the installation and the ongoing functioning of the system. I couldn't have known how expensive utilities, services and goods would get but in hind sight installing this system has saved me a great deal. Due to the increase in my BER as a result of installing this system, I was able to switch to a lower rate fixed mortgage which saved me 100 Euro per month. This combined with the energy savings means that I have easily received a return of 50% of the original investment after just two years. As for the Solar Home team, all very professional and knowledgeable. They explained the whole system after install and left the house neat and tidy. I would highly recommend them. Thanks, Stephen Mulryan

I'm glad I chose this company to…
I'm glad I chose this company to install my solar panels. The system was installed in May of 2024, absolutely no issues since then, and it is Jan 2026 now. The guys do clean work, and the install was done on the same day. That's scaffold up, panels fitted, battery & inverter installed. Highly recommend them. If I need to contact them, they come back to us pretty quickly with solid advice! You can definitely trust these guys to do a good job. I should also say, the install was inspected by SEAI (They will do random checks on installs for grant purposes.) The inspector said everything was done within regulation, and made no recommendations. So, 5 stars from me. Since then, I had a changeover installed, along with an EV charger and both of these visits went smooth too.
Quick accurate quote, easy to deal with, excellent work and service.
