I was so impressed by the professionalism and genuinely really useful and thoughtful advice I received from Bridget at Insulex. She was so good at helping me understand the options and also appreciative of my budget and critical needs.

From the initial contact to the completion of works at my property it was a very pleasant experience dealing with this company who carried out the necessary work in a very tight time period that was available to complete the job successful.

This is the second time I used Insulex Company, and have passed their name on to friends. It's an Excellent Company to deal with, Martin(the man in charge), Claire in the office, Thomas plus his son, they were great from start to finish. I'am so Happy with such an Amazing job. When all the work was completed, a man came and cleaned up around the house and removed any rubbish. Finally, Martin came to check I was happy with the job. Bridget was very quick to respond to our online enquiry. She explained the process clearly and succinctly and asked really incisive questions about our property to assess affective measures and suitability for One Stop Shop. Even when it became apparent that our property wasn't a suitable candidate (for one stop shop) she advised us on a way forward and signposted us to other available grants. Bridget also left the door open for future enquiries. At the end of our call, I was left with the impression that Insulex were committed to a greener energy saving future (as opposed to being 'profit-first' driven). Based on my experience, I would recommend getting in touch with Insulex.

I asked Insulex to view a house I was interested to buy. The consultation was extremely informative and seems like great value to me. The information obtained is helpful in both valuing the house pre purchase, and also in determining what work would be required to optimise energy efficiency. Insulex were very helpful, professional, and seem to be highly trustworthy. I would recommend anyone buying second hand homes get an energy efficiency consultation from experts like Insulex.

My trying to navigate the best option for my house, whether that be the one stop shop option or the individual works option has been a real headache. However, having spoken to Bridget from Insulex, who explained and went through the options step by step with me, I can honestly say that I am in a much better position to forge ahead and dip my toes into the world of home energy upgrades, grants and works etc. My only regret is that I live in Dublin and Insulex is a Cork firm who work throughout the Munster region but who unfortunately do not work in Dublin so they could not do the works for me. Despite this, Bridget took the time and the patience to talk me through the different options even though she was not going to benefit from getting the job for her company. I am more than happy to say that had I lived in the Munster region I would definitely have used the services of Bridget's company, Insulex. She did not have to help me, but she went over and above, despite knowing that Insulex would not benefit. I would just leave you with this question to mull over, if she was prepared to help me to the extent she did, how much further would she help and go to make the whole process easier for a client if she was actually going to get the job? I have no hesitation at all of recommending Insulex given my experience of dealing with her. If she is an example of the professionalism, kindness and patience of Insulex's staff then you as a potential customer have definitely chosen the best company to do your home energy upgrades. I found Insulex a fast and professional service. I just had a free consultation organised by Bridget who was very helpful. Martin did the assessment and he was fantastic. I got some great and simple advice based on my individual circumstances and personal needs for my home. I had done some upgrades myself before and I wish I had used Insulex first as they have the expertise and right knowledge to advise correctly, and the right upgrades for me. Overall I am delighted with my free consultation for now and if I will go ahead with further works I will definitely go with Insulex as they are fast efficient, honest and reliable.

My experience of Insulex One Stop Shop has been such a positive one and the end result is a wonderful warm and cosy home in comparison to what I used to have. The Insulex team were outstanding all the way through. My initial contact with the office staff was very helpful. One young staff member patiently outlined to me, the step by step process in following the One Stop Shop ‘route’, several times, before I got the hang of it! She later drew up the quote for the job and filled in all the paperwork for the grants, making the whole process really easy for me. A few weeks after the initial contact, the Managing Director, Mr Martin McCarthy was on my doorstep, talking me through what needed to be done to sort out the damp walls, draughty rooms and the cold which often had us commenting that it was warmer outside than inside the house. He recommended a combination of external insulation, attic insulation, new doors and windows and fitting a heat pump. Martin McCarthy inspires confidence that the job will be done right and so it was. He has a wealth of experience and knowledge to draw on and has a solution for every problem. When the job was underway, Martin was regularly checking in on the progress and the workmanship until the job was finished and Insulex had done exactly what he said they would do – transform the comfort level of my home. As for the Project Manager, Mike, Condon, well he was just incredible. He was so helpful and decent, so good at communicating the issues and making things happen. Nothing was too much trouble and he shielded me from the stress and strain of a big retrofit in countless ways. Materials were ordered, plans were made and plans were tweaked to sort out new and evolving problems. The bulk of the work was done within 9 weeks which was most impressive. And then there was the work crew. There was someone for every job, all doing their part efficiently and capably. Some were there for a few days and others for a few weeks. It was great to see all the different ‘teams’ and individuals complete their various tasks, getting me ever closer to the finish line. Now that I have ‘arrived’, I will always be grateful to Insulex for converting an old, cold, draughty, damp house into a warm, snug and pleasant home that I never thought possible to achieve. Even without switching on the heat pump, the external and attic insulation as well as the new doors and windows have made it so that there is a natural warmth to the house instead of the ‘chill factor’ upstairs and downstairs. for 9 weeks this Summer (June to August), the Insulex team worked on my house, and on the whole it was a very pleasant experience. The lads (all male) were pleasant, polite and considerate. The project manager, Anthony, liaised with me every step of the way, and was a pleasure to deal with. When a problem arose, a phone call to Marina in the office solved it. I would have liked to have had a physical meeting, when choosing the windows and doors ,rather than through email, and I consider the snag-list time scale far too short. Apart from that, the project was finished on time and the clean-up was superb. My house looks great and I'm looking forward to a very warm, comfortable winter.

Insulex’s One Stop Shop programme allowed us to complete transform my grands parents home. The external paneling had completely revamped the appearance and made the house look like a brand new home, the quality of work and efficiency of the service is excellent. We went for the under floor heating and the heat pump and it is just amazing there is such a different in the overall warmth of the house. We are pleasantly surprised by our electricity bill since getting the heat pump and it is great that we have just the one bill for the entire running of the house. Can’t thank everyone at Insulex enough!

We are just about 1 year in our new home which was completely transformed by Insulex. Our home is so comfortable to live in with minimum effort to keep it at a constant temperature. This winter has been a whole new experience of warmth. We have seen the benefits to our health also, no inhalers..... I found everyone at Insulex so professional to deal with and very nice.

Terrible attitude, had no interest in work as 'have enough jobs', arrived two hours late complained about having to come out. - it's such a bummer to have to actually come out and meet someone to make a sale?
