Excellent company to deal with

Contacted Solar generation via their online inquiry form on a Sunday, received a call first thing Monday morning to arrange a site visit, Rich from sales was friendly, polite and didn't pressure us into buying anything we didn't need. The installation team were friendly and professional, they treated our home with repect. The equipment was installed by Raymond and his mate, very neatly in a cupboard in our utility room , the roofers also were very good , no rubbish was left behind. So refreshing to deal with such a professionally ran company, wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

Terrible customer service

Customer service post installion has been horrendous. Have rang on several occasions and was told someone would ring me back to deal with the issue but still waiting on that phone call. If you have a problem with your system, it seems they don't want to know.

I found the Solar Generation team very efficient and actually had my solar panels installed over a week before the scheduled date. The installation was very quick and efficient; less than one full day. If I have any slight issue it's around the equipment dropping internet signal. I can usually get it sorted eventually but can sometimes be time consuming and a little irritating. However the first time it happen Solar Gen did send someone out to help me so that was a very supportive service.

We had intermittent connectivity issues after install but Solar Gen sorted this after a couple of visits and the system is now operating perfectly. I recently had my PV solar system installed by a local company Solar Generation and I couldn't be happier, from the initial enquiry, competitive price offered, the installation to getting SEAI grant sorted. A big thank you to David and his team for incredibly professional, friendly, knowledgable and efficient service from consultation through to completion. Choosing Solar Generation was a great decision and would highly recommend for anyone interested in having Solar PV panels installed.

We had solar panels installed by Solar Generation earlier this year.Each stage of the process was handled in a professional, timely and friendly manner. Any queries I had pre or post installation were answered straight away. The installation was carried out very efficiently and everything was left clean and tidy after it was complete. We are 100 % satisfied with our installation and would highly recommend Solar Generation to anyone thinking of installing solar panels.

Installation was straightforward and quick. From requesting a survey to complete took about 10 working days. At each step - surveyor, installing, electrical work and contacting the office for payment and paperwork - the people know what they are doing and it shows. Post-installation grant application process was clear. Completed without a hitch and the system has been working perfectly well since. Price was competitive but not the cheapest compared to other quotes. Installed hardware is good quality as is the work. Installation has a life of about 20-25 years so done correct is cheapest of all, which these guys have delivered. Would recommend.

Positive experience in all dealings with Solar Generation. Easily contacted, good follow-up, and the initial assessment was thorough and inclusive. System seems to be working well, though I will follow up after the winter months.

I'm extremely dissatisfied with the service provided by Solar Generation. It started very well, had a visit to discuss details, then had a survey to assess the panels layout, but after that, silence. Called Solar Generation several times, and was always told a final review was being done and that I would be contacted at the end of the day. That went on for almost a week. Now whenever I try to contact Solar Generation, the call goes to voice mail. Very poor customer service and overall very disappointing interaction with the company. The worst part is that this was a company recommended by friends who had their system installed by Solar Generation. Update: David Lavin contacted me this morning and came to the house within a couple of hours of his call. He explained the reasons behind the "radio silence" and, although we think an update should have been provided during the week, we absolutely understood the multiple challenges they were faced with during that time. The level of customer service showed at this time is really what sets companies apart! The overwhelming positive reviews are well deserved. Things can go wrong. But, this situation has shown that if they do, Solar Generation will own up to it and work hard to deliver. Extremely impressed with the level of care and attention to the customer experience. 10/10

Dealing with Solar Generation was great from start to finish. From getting the initial quote, their representatives gave me all the information and advice I needed on applying for the SEAI grant. They kept me informed about installation dates and the time period that would be envisaged. When they arrived to install all the equipment, they were professional and very quick, and there was no disturbance. Everything was left as it was when they left. They have been great in following up with any issues I had when trying to get familiar with the system.

I got the assessment end of Sept 2023 and the panels installed in November. Very happy with all of the interactions. From the initial survey, to the installation which was all done in days and the grant application process. Also have to compliment the customer and technical support team who answered all my questions about the system itself and the phone app.

We had our solar panels installed in December '23. Our experience in dealing with Solar Generation was a very positive one in terms of communication, information, courtesy and total professionalism. We have had the panels in now for a number of months and have seen the cost of our electricity drop significantly, with the added bonus of hot water in an instant, which is always welcome. Thanks to the team for everything, I was very impressed by how great the guys were that installed the panels, very professional and left everything very neat and thanks to the ladies in the office for their quick and helpful responses. Very satisfied with the overall experience after dealing with 5 members of the business, all were very helpful and dealt with all concerns, and even the one issue i had with a battery in the battery pack was resolved very quickly by replacement with no delays despite Covid and all the challenges it presented. It is a 6kw system with 17kw of LFP batteries in the attic and it has been working flawlessly since. With the batteries there are quite a few days where i do not use any grid power and that is a nice feeling. Its a shame some days even after the batteries are charged to see 15Kw dumped to the grid with no return as we wait for the smart meter installation. Hopefully in the coming months we will see smart meters reaching us. While i am no eco warrior it is good to see over a ton of CO2 saved so far since installation just over 2 months ago, I hope the government moves to allow even bigger installations in the near future as i would like to grow the installation and be a proper micro generation site. Thanks to all at Solar Generation, its great to have such a professional outfit this side of the country, some friends in Dublin have been surprised and really inspired by the quality of the Solax install and capabilities.

Great company to deal with! The office were incredibly helpful in scheduling a free site survey at my property. I was provided with a very detailed report of different systems and the benefits they would bring. I ended up going for a 14 panel hybrid system with 4.5 kWh battery storage. The system has been installed for over 6 months now and I am already benefiting from reduced electricity bills!! The monitoring app allows me to track my systems daily production and energy usage. I can now schedule my appliances at specific points in the day so that I am running off completely green self generated energy! The install team were extremely professional, tidy and fast. The install was finished in just under two days and I can’t speak highly enough of the services provided! I’ll be recommending Solar Generation to anyone considering Solar PV.
