I'm glad I chose this company to install my solar panels. The system was installed in May of 2024, absolutely no issues since then, and it is Jan 2026 now. The guys do clean work, and the install was done on the same day. That's scaffold up, panels fitted, battery & inverter installed. Highly recommend them. If I need to contact them, they come back to us pretty quickly with solid advice! You can definitely trust these guys to do a good job. I should also say, the install was inspected by SEAI (They will do random checks on installs for grant purposes.) The inspector said everything was done within regulation, and made no recommendations. So, 5 stars from me. Since then, I had a changeover installed, along with an EV charger and both of these visits went smooth too.
Great service installing the system Shane , extremely helpful. Fantastic after sales support. Harry
The best decision I ever made getting Solar Panels installed by Skyline Solar, having spent loads of time reviewing other Companies I was referred to this company by a friend of mine who got them installed over a year ago. From talking to Catherine in the office and then Darragh everything was explained simply, had Dara call to the house to go through everything and anything I needed was done. The crew arrived on time and had everything done and on the grid by the time they had left. I can't recommend this company enough,if your thinking about getting Solar panels give them a call you will not be disappointed.
Very prompt response from Sales Team. Ts&Cs explained in simple clear to understand language without any laborious jargon. Facts were presented clearly as were the benefits of installing Solar panels. Waiting time for installation was very quick from time of contract signing. Installation was very neat and completed with an expert team of installers. Very professional Only downside I had was when I needed info from a male technician, whose name I dont recall , he didnt repond to my whatsapp messages or answer my calls. I was left without output from the panels for about six weeks as a result . I was not pleased! When I reported this to HQ, a very articulate and very well informed technician Erica, called me back and fixed my issue without delay and in a very courteous manner. She took a step by step approach and guided me through how I could fix the particular issue I had with the system. Haven't paid an electricity bill since I installed the panels and have in fact, accumulated a lot of credit
Solar Homes made the process from initial query to installation and support seamless. They are a very efficient and effective operation and I would highly recommend them. Oh and they are all really pleasant to deal with so if you are thinking of investing give them a call. I don't think you will be disappointed.
Having considered Solar PV for my house a couple of times in the past this time the difference which made me go ahead was the fact that you can now sell back to the grid. Once we decided to go for it I asked 3 companies to provide a quote. The first company called out done a quick site inspection and provided an estimate before leaving. The second company also called promptly and did a site survey but took a week longer to quote and weren't any better value. The third was Solar Home and it was a different level of service. First within an hour of filling out an enquiry form on their website I received a call back. During the call the salesperson had Google maps open and used it to ascertain what direction my roof surfaces were oriented toward (very important for solar) and also worked out roughly how many panels could be accommodated. From this he could already give me a rough quote, and also arranged a technical visit for the following morning. The site visit ended in a refined quote based on our usage of electric, our options for panel and battery placement, and possible combinations that would help make the most of our potential for solar generation. This visit was concluded with a very competitive quote that was actually cheaper than both competitors and would provide a higher number of panels with a higher output per panel, and roughly double the battery capacity (which has already begun to pay off on cloudy days and allowed me to buy at night rates sell at higher day rates to the grid, arbitrage). Once I decided to go ahead I was installed within a few weeks with no delays on the process for the grant. The install was very low hassle. We were given a comprehensive walk through of the app to control and monitor the system. And since the install I have had a very helpful call with one of the technical team in the office which really helped me to understand how to get the most out of the system. But what everyone really wants to know is how is it performing. Well we received our first bill the solar was in for 6 out of the 8 weeks and 70% of the bill was standing charges, levy's, and VAT. Overall the bill was tiny. Given we run an electric car, all our heating (air to water heat pump), and everything you'd expect of a busy 4 person household. 95% of the 6 weeks was essentially cost free from a unit charge perspective. And had I leveraged the tech team members knowledge a little sooner I could have probably pushed it to 100%.
Quick accurate quote, easy to deal with, excellent work and service.

Highly recommend Solar Home! Everything was handled perfectly from the original quote to the installation. All of the work was done neatly, both teams (Electricians & Roofers) were efficient and left everything as it was. I am delighted with my new Solar PV system. I only wish I had contacted the Solar Home team sooner.
I've had my Solar from Solar Home since November 2023. The instalation was quick, has saved me tons of money on the electricity bill and most importantly, any time I've had an issue, Solar home have been there to help out! During storm Éowyn I had a power outage for a few hours, luckily I had the battery, so I still had wifi, and enought power for the kettle and tv. But after the storm the battery wasn't charging anymore. Once I noticed I contacted Solar Home who guided me through how to fix it (It was a blown fuse in the battery I didn't know was there. Simple flick up and it was back to charging) I just wanted to add that to show they're there to help after installation if it's needed.
We are so happy we decided to go with solar home. They where highly professional from start to finish. I'd like to thank John for his time and extra effort on his site survey, Shane C for his pristine workmanship and patience when things got a little awkward. And Shane for taking time out of his Friday evening in explaining the basics and advising what was required for or usage. I highly highly recommend solar home if you are considering getting solar panels installed
Very happy with the professional service supplied by John, Darragh Catherine, and the installation team from Solar Home Athenry, Co. Galway. They were very professional and arrived on time for installation as arranged. We are very happy with the Solar-panels and sorry we didn’t get the system installed years ago. Can't recommend them enough - a pleasure to have them work on our home. Very professionals.
I was very happy with the solar panels installation, by Solarhome. They supplied all the information needed in advance, Inc system details and an accurate quotation. The installation arrived on the appointed date and time, and was up and running in the one day. The installation work was neat and tidy and done to a high standard. Follow-up was excellent also, to ensure we had everything in order to get our grant. Start to finish an excellent experience....... The system works away silently, without any issues and my electricity bill has reduced substantially.....
I have had a great experience with Solar Home installing my system, very professional, very clean workers very helpful and extremely competitive in price. The only negative I have, it was quite time consuming from original meet to install but as I was not in a rush I was okay with that. Overall I would highly recommend and have done so already.
Solar homes were a pleasure to deal with from the initial engagement right through to post installation when finalising paper work for the grant. All questions were answered by the team (emails, calls) and the crew who did the installation were very friendly and their workmanship was excellent. They also installed it earlier than the original planned date which was fantastic. I could not recommend Solar Homes highly enough.
The team at Solar Home were super efficient and supportive from the very first time we met with them to discuss getting a Solar PV system installed. They advised on system type, size, location and had no problem answering any questions we had. On installation day the efficiency was next level, and they did not leave a speck of rubbish after them! Follow-up was excellent also, to ensure we had everything in order to get our grant. Start to finish an excellent experience, we would highly recommend 👌 👍
Hi, Solar Home installed a solar system for me in October 2021. I had purposely left providing a review for some time so that my review could give a proper reflection of the company\system and seen as I happened upon Colm today, it reminded me! The system includes solar panels with a combined output of 4.5kW, an inverter, two 5.7kWh batteries and an eddi diverter. I am very happy with everything to do with the installation and the ongoing functioning of the system. I couldn't have known how expensive utilities, services and goods would get but in hind sight installing this system has saved me a great deal. Due to the increase in my BER as a result of installing this system, I was able to switch to a lower rate fixed mortgage which saved me 100 Euro per month. This combined with the energy savings means that I have easily received a return of 50% of the original investment after just two years. As for the Solar Home team, all very professional and knowledgeable. They explained the whole system after install and left the house neat and tidy. I would highly recommend them. Thanks, Stephen Mulryan
I got four quotations before deciding on Skyline Solar to do the installation. I had a friend, who is an electronics engineer, to evaluate the quotations for me and he told me that Skyline Solar were giving more and better equipment for less money than any of the other three quotes. Seven men arrived at 9.20am on installation day after having travelled about 90 miles and had the job completed, up and running at 2.45pm on the same day. The other quotes were two days for the installation. The workmen were exceptionally neat, clean and tidy in their operations and consequently I had no cleaning-up to do. Their boss paid a visit during the day to ensure that all was well and that I wa satisfied with progress. It has been my experience that Skyline Solar are hard to beat for service, value and workmanship.
I cannot rate Shane and his team at Solar Homes Ireland, highly enough. From my first call to Shane, to the site survey with Brian, through to the installation crew. The process was seamless. The installation took a day. The crew were onsite at 8am and we're finished at 5pm. Everything was left as they found it. We got a 6Kw solar system with a 10Kw battery. It's too early in the year yet to access it's overall performance, but on the one fine clear day we had, the battery was fully charged by 1pm. Looking forward to seeing it's performance during the summer months. David Devaney. Barnaderg Tuam.
Fantastic job. They worked with my builder as my garage was being built - providing the brackets and related hardware to use when slating the roof. Once the roof was done they put up the rails and panels. Once the inside was ready, they came and installed the inverter and batteries and connected it to my electrical system in less than a day. I've made over 4MWh of electricity in the first 5.5 months. Winter will be less, but it will still make an impact on reducing my electricity bills even then. They explained everything, answered nearly all of my questions and have been quick to answer further queries. There's one name I missed but a big shoutout to Shane, Colm and Aoife.
The installation was carried out very professionally and tidily with fantastic advice given prior to and during the work. The whole system (internal and external) is neat and very functional with a phone app giving oversight and control. I would highly recommend this company from my experience of their work - in addition their staff are a pleasure to deal with
Great service, right from initial meeting with Shane to install by Colm and team and follow-up with documents currently being provided for our SEAI grant application. This was a retrofit on the roof of our family home - a very neat job including the panels and battery system. In the 2 weeks since the install, with mixed weather, we are over 60% self sufficient for electricity!
We have had a solar system from Solar Home Ireland Ltd. installed for a year now and have had no issues. The install was very neat and tidy and I have recommended Shane and Colm's service to others many times. Our 4.2 kW system has produced 4.3 kWh hours in that year and we are looking forward to many more years of solar PV power.
