NCE is the only people you are looking for to install solar panels. No need to look elsewhere. They are not only good at their profession but good people too. I work and try to keep good people around me. Strongly recommend. They were so informative since the beginning of the process. Forms grant calculations how to use the app etc. and Installation was smooth and fast. Special thanks to Emma and Annie.

They were a pleasure to deal with from start to finish . Great communication from the office about any queries or options to suit our needs . The staff were very fast, efficient and friendly. Employees gave great advice, very happy with the system installed.

From the initial consultation I found them to be very helpful. From the guy that delivered the equipment, to the installers, they made sure everything was put away tidily and cleaned up. No problems at all. NCE dealt with it all, we just had to apply for the grant. Initially had some problems understanding the set up but we were sent a video explaining each step which helped enormously. I have no hesitation in recommending NCE

Bad communication with NCE

Bad communication with NCE Got 12 panels an inverter fitted a year ago system works well but every thing in-between was not. Was told over the phone they would handle all the paper work for grant and when I was looking for an up date on it was told it was up to me to do and it was written in the bottom of some email they sent by then the grant had dropped down from 2100 to 1800 so lost 300 euro . Had to get on to them about sending in the nc6 form as well for the esb it was May 2025 before esb informed me they got it solar panels were fitted around middle of December 2024 so lost 5 months of electricity going back to the grid not as much as an apology and all this is ment to be done before panels are fitted which I didn't know but a company around as long as NCE should know all this

Expert electrician install of 6 500w panels and hybrid inverter in Togher . No issues in last 9 months

We decided to go with NCE after receiving many quotes over a two month period. We were well versed on what exactly we were looking for. NCE were the final suppliers to call to our home. Annie was very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly to deal with, answering all our questions and being able to give a definite price (which was extremely competitive) with no hidden extra costs. The office staff are very helpful with any questions we had. The installation of the system was quick, tidy and very professionally done. All staff involved in this process were brilliant to deal with and left our home exactly as it was before any work was carried out. We had a 20 panel single line ground mounted system installed which had to go along the slope of the lawn, again this was no problem. The fact that NCE are in business a long time, are local and had exceptional reviews made our decision very easy. I would highly recommend this company to anybody thinking of going down the solar path.

Great company to deal with from start to finish.

They did a good job installing our panels, inverter and battery in November 2024 apart from forgetting to switch on the DC power on the inverter, which we were able to do ourselves. Make sure they plan it so that you can add extra battery storage easily in future if you have a Sigen system, I think cables and trunking will have to move for us to add any extra battery storage. Only use the phone to contact them as they don't often reply to emails like a lot of companies here. After a year of using our 4.3kW solar PV setup with 8kW battery storage we have been happy. We generated about 3.8mW of power in the year. But our panels are directly south facing. The battery storage keeps our winter bills down a lot by topping it up to 100% every night on off peak electricity, as on the worst weeks in winter we only get about 20kW of solar. The best weeks in summer it's up to 180kW per week, most of that is sold back as microgeneration. Remember to buy as much battery storage as you can afford when installing as you don't get the 0% vat rate for batteries added to your system later. We could have done with 2 x 8kW batteries instead of just one.

I don't usually leave reviews but I feel that the crew at NCE deserve one! From initial contact to job completion they have been super helpful. I especially cannot commend Emma (first point of contact) & Annie (site engineer) enough for fielding my 400 questions in a timely and friendly manner!! (Possibly through gritted teeth but they never let on so :) )!! The scheduling team and installation crew all work really efficiently to get the job over the line. I would highly recommend this company.

Solar install

NCE provided me with a system for my garage roof. Delivery of material and installation crew all arrived as planned. Roofers installed the panels followed by the electricians, both crews were neat and tidy, excellent tradesmen. The system is up and running since May and we are seeing huge savings.

From start to finish I found North Cork Electrical a pleasure to deal with. We got 10 panels, inverter and battery installed. Once deposit was paid, the equipment was dropped, panels installed and the following week the electrician’s were on site. Very straightforward process, they handled all of the paperwork and The panels are working brilliantly. I would highly recommend them.

Had PV installation supplied and fitted by North Cork Electrical. They were reccomended to me by a friend From first contact to completion i found them to be an excellent company i would honestly rate them 10/10. I dealt mainly with Dylan who was honest, knowledgeable, and always willing to help. Even since completion they have always willing to troublshoot or just answer questions. The work was flawless with no mess created. I have reccomended them to several friends. Well done and thanks to all at NCE.

I contacted Richard in late 2024 to get a quote as wanted a small system 3kwh for a two bed bungalow in Togher and he gave me best quote of three I had and I liked fact it was an electricians firm with great experience and longevity which is important for after service . They installed the panels in early May in a morning and allowed me to swop out inverter on day of install for a. Hybrid so it’s future proof for batteries . They did a great job and fitted 6 large 500watt panels to suit the bungalow roof . They handled the grant paperwork and NC6 which was great and we are very happy with NCE !

North Cork Electrical - good to deal with

North Cork Electrical were good to deal with on our install of a 12 panel solar and battery installation, so much so that we got them back to extend the system with another 4 panels and a second battery a year later (which in retrospect we should have done from the beginning). Only downside was trying to get them back after the second install to swap out a faulty MCB they had installed.

I first used NCE back in 2019 to wire my house. The work they carried out was 10/10, very efficient, professional and finished to a very high standard. Their experience showed during the preplanning meeting, where they suggested things that make life so much easier now, for example; switch positioning, timer and sensor lights and running cables for alarms, camera's and electric gates. When I went down the route of getting PV Panels in 2025, I looked no further than NCE, again, their work was 10/10, hassle free and professional. 7 months into getting panels, it has proven to be a great investment. YTD my electricity bill have not reduced, they have disappeared, my account is currently in credit of over €500.

Had solar installed by North Cork

North Cork Electrical were so easy to deal with. Had solar installed. Delighted with the service. Annie was a joy to deal with and really worked around our schedule for fitting etc. My wife says the lads installing and setting up were lovely and explained everything really well. All the other processes grant, grid application, BER etc were taken care of. I found the whole process really easy and pain free as a customer. Would highly recommend.

Got North Cork Electrical to install 13 PV panels on our home in September 2024 nearly 12 months on it’s been a fantastic system over the summer months cutting our electrical bills by over half and ramping up credit of electricity been sold to the grid to receive back off bills different times of the year there crews were a pleasure to deal with and installation was stress free and very Tidy and clean I can without hesitation recommend this company PS when the grant man came to inspect the work before grant was paid he mentioned that this company has one of best names on the list of recommended companies

Had NCE installed solar panels on our roof. They’re honest since the start to the end and have provided exceptional customer service and the best quotes I could get out there. Roofers who installed the panels spotted some issues on my roof and told me immediately. Even took some photos and videos explaining what the issue was. Panels have been up and running for about 2 weeks now with no issues at all. Would go for NCE again for any solar panels installation with no hesitation at all!

North Cork Electrical Ltd installed 19…

North Cork Electrical Ltd installed 19 panels (E/W roof) and a Sigenergy system with 2 x 8 kW batteries over the last two days. Really happy with their work and how it all turned out. Now all that’s missing is some sun. Unfortunately, they forgot to bring a crimp tool, so for now, the inverter is connected to Wi-Fi only. Ethernet was connected a month later. After 4 days, I noticed the panels weren’t producing any power. I contacted the installer, and they came out the next day. It seems the fireman switch might have been off, even though all the breakers were on. Not entirely sure, but the issue was resolved the same day. Unfortunately, one of the batteries failed at the beginning of January. Took until end of February to get it sorted. I noticed one of the screws securing the inverter to the wall has snapped.The screw looks quite small—I’d have expected proper bolts for something like this. Was only replaced with screws again.

Solar system

After receiving many quotes, I have decided to go with NCE. 10 x 500 Watt Panels Leapton panels, eCactus 5 kW inverter and eCactus Solar 5.12 kWh battery. I was a bit sceptic because I couldn't find many information regarding eCactus brand online, but was assured by Richard that the brand is reliable. The price was acceptable for my budget and I have decided to go forward with the 'unknown' brand. Within 2 months since I have the system, I can not complain, no issues at all, only thing as with many other battery brands is that if temperature is low, the battery is charging very slow. Otherwise all to my satisfaction. Roofers and electricians did an excellent job and all timeframes were kept as promised. I have to mention one more thing, there was an issue with the connection, but Richard, the owner, came the next day in person and fixed the issue. Hope the aftersales support will stay as it started.
