We haven't had to pay for electricity since we got our installation from SPV Energy 27 months ago. And on the only occasion when we had a problem, Liz had us up and running again with her clear and prompt instructions. I've no problem recommending SPV Energy for your solar installation.

I was very happy with the service I received from SPV energy. When I emailed them over the Christmas holiday period, I received an email straight away to confirm they had received it and would be in touch. Then I had a call out from Padraig who was extremely helpful and gave me the benefit of his professional advice. Nicole contacted me the day before my battery was due to be fitted and Ray and Paul arrived to install it. They were extremely professional and helpful. I would not hesitate to recommend SPV to anyone looking for solar panels with reliable after sales service.

Installation not completed

Installation not completed My house was built in the sixtes when the main board had fuses. Some additional works had also been carried out about 40 years ago when esb regulations were not as stringent. SPV advised me that the new circuit breakers might cause problems so it was agreed that these would be resolved if they occured. Like virtually all other reviews the installation was carried on time with virtually no disruption. Unfortunately 3 lights caused problems and were not connected to the system. Over the last 3 months I have asked them on numerous occasions to return and complete the contract without success. They have a fantastic receptionist but in spite of her best efforts were futile. I am writing this review in the hope that they will return and I would still be happy to give a five star rating.

Excellent Customer Services after sale

The customer services at this company is incredible! Pádraig came out to replace our dead battery today, and gave excellent tips and tricks, and all in a very courteous way, explaining all. I cannot recommend this company enough, and letting them install our solar panels and battery was the best decision ever!

Exceptional Service from Start to Finish

I had an array and battery installed by SPV during the summer, and their quote was one of the most competitive I received. The consultation and follow-up communication were excellent, with Padraig consistently taking the time to answer every question. The installation went smoothly. The team were flexible about the inverter and battery location—we chose to place both outside—and the cable work was tidy and professional. The aftercare has been outstanding. When we had an intermittent WiFi issue with the inverter, SPV arranged a free follow-up visit to install a hardwired Ethernet connection. More recently, a cold-weather issue prevented the battery from charging properly. Padraig handled everything with the manufacturer and kept us updated throughout, resolving it within a couple of weeks. I’d heard stories of installers offering little support after the job is done, but SPV has been the complete opposite. Their service has been excellent from start to finish. Highly recommend Padraig and the team.

Great experience

I had a number of quotes from various solar installers and went with SPV Energy who were competitively priced. Padraig had provided us with a detailed analysis and 3 options for installation. We made our choice and communication was excellent throughout. Workmanship on the day was great and we had a couple of teething issues since that were sorted very quickly. Padraig was great at explaining the best system for us and other things we could do in the future ,lads fitting system arrived early before I left for work myself and were very efficient and tidy and left everything as was before they arrived . Company sorted out staged payments for the system and everything involved for the grant so all in all an easy enough process.

The journey from the first phone call…

The journey from the first phone call to the completion of the job was so smooth I couldn't find any issues at all . The lads who actually put the panels up were so clean we didn't have to do anything to clean up after the job. First class workers.

I don’t like giving reviews because quality can change over time at a company. However, I can say the job they did in March 2025 was faultless. Attention to detail was superb to hide as much wiring as possible. Delighted with the result. I’ll use them again if I need a car charger in future.

My experience with SPV Energy has been brilliant. They've provided really clear documentation and advice when doing our comparison with other providers and deciding on what we needed. The team are lovely to speak to over the phone and we're able to address any thoughts or concerns there and then. The pre-inspection went through and explains in simple language what items need to be in place in order to install the panals such as earth rods, bonding etc and reaffirms what you will expect on the day of installation and ensure the terms of the grant are met. The installation itself was professionally done by the team who were lovely to deal with and clearly explained what they were doing as they went and what slight adjustments were made to suit the particular environment. The team had the installation done in a few hours, and explained everything clearly in regards to the physical set up and the app use. They tidied up and left the place as they found it as well. Overall couldn't recommend SPV Energy enough.

SPV Energy are a great company to deal with. They were extremely patient with me when my timeline had to change. When I was ready for them to come and install they were super efficient, punctual and so clean. They went over and beyond to help me, I am very grateful to the staff in the office and to the guys that came out. The whole process was so easy and painless. On the day, they were efficient and showed us how to use the system/apps etc. They were also on hand to deal with queries afterwards. They tidied up everything after themselves. Used SPV energy for 12 x Solar Panels recently . Would highly recommend this Company . I received top quality customer service with very competitive pricing and excellent information on product prior to ordering . Post ordering I received a very quick installation date plus online assistance with the process for the application of the SEAI grant . Pricing and payment arrangements very fair. The installation was superb with very good communication by all the workers re the work being undertaken . The workers were efficient , thorough, very neat and left the work areas very clean and tidy . The system handover was excellent . Assistance given to install apps on phone . Time taken to explain each device , their functions and good information on how to optimise the full benefits of using the solar energy . I was considering adding solar to our home in an effort to reduce ongoing electricity costs. I received recommendations from 2 separate friends that had used SPV energy - so made the call ! The team brought me through the whole process - from an initial quotation to installation. This included help with grant application, costings for various options (battery, extra panel numbers, Eddi, type of inverter, etc) before I decided on what might be best for us. From initial contact to installation was less than a month. On installation day (June 2024), work started early and was completed during the afternoon / 16 panels - very slick process and delivered to a high standard - including training on how to use the Apps. Since install I have received follow up calls to check all was well. SPV also arranged for the system to be set up as a supplier for micro generation - which meant I received credit from my supplier for electricity exported from install date. Only last week, I received our first bill and instead of €420 cost in August 2023 it is now a €20 credit ! While these were the peak summer months, hopefully we will continue to receive reduced bills all year round.

Would highly recommend this company very helpful and efficient ,from the two girls in the office who were always ready to help and advice , to Ray who called to the house a week before hand and explained everything in detail and finally the four lads who came to install and set up panels they arrived on time and were very professional ,neat and tidy. Before they left Eric downloaded the energy app for me and explained in detail how the whole system operates. i would have no hesitation in recommending this company to family ,friends or neighbours.
