Great service

I’m absolutely delighted with the service from SolarSmart. From the get-go, Gearoid McDonnell in sales was brilliant, designing a system that perfectly suited my home without any of the usual sales fluff. The installation was a total breeze. Denis and his roofing crew were fast and tidy getting the panels up, while Connor (the main electrician) and his crew of Seans did a fantastic job with the internal wiring. What I appreciated most was Connor taking the time to explain the apps—he broke everything down in terms that were actually easy to understand, so I felt confident using the system immediately. It’s clear why they are a top-rated installer; a truly professional team from start to finish.

The team were very professional from beginning to end when installing my new solar panels. Extremely efficient, spotlessly clean and everything was put back as it was. I highly recommend them.

Great workmanship

My house is old with extensions that made installation challenging but all of the difficulties were overcome in a practical and efficient manner- very happy with the workmanship, the paperwork and the process for recovering grants.

We had been thinking about getting solar panels installed for a few years but we were not convinced by the information given to us to proceed. Solar Smart's interaction with us was very different. Paulo kept in touch and send out to us many members of staff to explain in great detail all that was involved and the best way to proceed with the installation. SolarSmart installed the panels in January 2026 and they are working very well when the sun peeps out after all the rain! Terry Riordan

14 panel installation with battery

Arron. Alex and Sean were a credit to the company, efficient, minimised disturbance and mindful of baby in house, were tidy and cleaned everything as they went, also answered all questions without it appearing to be a burden. Cables all dressed neatly, all functions of units fully explained and also functionality of app made sure comfortable with operating. Roofing crew were accommodating, were efficient, answered any questions. Thought beforehand was going to be a hassle day but was proved completely wrong.

Absolutely fantastic job. Extremely pleased with the system and the support. I was dealing with Jason and he took me through the whole process step by step and answered all my questions. The team that installed my equipment were excellent. Neat, clean and job was finished to a very high standard. Genuinely can’t rate the installation high enough. From sales to completion it’s a firm 10/10. Solar smart have a great crew in the guys I dealt with. Would highly recommend.

A great company from start to finish. Excellent knowledge and so easy to deal with around booking. Denis and the crew on the roof installation side were fantastic, so professional and easy to deal with. Very accommodating when trying to manage the noise around babies trying to nap! Aaron and the electrics team were so professional also, very clean, worked very quickly. A top service and an excellent group of professional who were a pleasure to have in the house👌🏻 would highly recommend!

He knows everything there is to know about Solar and really did a fantastic job. Have recommended to neighbours who also have great experiences with them. I got 5 quotes altogether and they stood out from everyone. only sorry i wasted so much time choosing!

Absolutly Fantastic team. Checked many companies along with SolarSmart to find who offer the best products, and by far SolarSmart were the best. They offered everything I was looking for, 20 Panels, Inverter, Storage Battery & Car Charger. Met and spoke with William many times before installation to ensure I was able to get all I wanted and answer all questions, no pressure just a friendly professional who did have my best interests in mind. Installation of everything was quick and easy, No Stress No Mess The App supplied is easy to navigate and addictive, once the AI is set it will take over to maximise the system effeciency. The after sales are great, I haven't had a reason to contact them, but they contact me to make sure I am happy and answer follow up questions. Have noticed a huge reduction in Electricity bill already.

We had a 24 panel solar system together with an 8kwh Sigen battery installed by SolarSmart in early February 2025,followed by the installation of the Sigenergy Gateway Whole Home backup system in April 2025. With the benefit of almost 12 months operational experience we can confidently report complete satisfaction with the entire system recommended and installed by SolarSmart. The SolarSmart team were most helpful and professional throughout ,including the initial discussions with Morgan and Gearoid,followed by the technical support from Darren and then the fast ,efficient ,friendly and on time installation by the Roofers and electricians. The system has been completely trouble free from the outset and most importantly has completely covered our electricity costs over the period. Thank you to everyone concerned .

Great service from start to finish

SolarSmart took care of everything for us, from start to finish. Gearóid was lovely to deal with and I never felt under any pressure to buy, unlike some other companies I contacted. The installation team arrived when they said they would and even though it took them a bit longer to complete than they expected, they came back the next day and finished it. Upon completion the team walked us through the different systems (inverter, EDDI, changeover switch). We recently also had to contact SolarSmart for an issue with the inverter and they were very prompt to respond and resolve the problem. All in all, I am very happy with the service received from SolarSmart.

Excellent service from initial call to installation

We recently had a solar PV system with battery storage installed by SolarSmart and we are extremely pleased with the results. Our initial contact was with Paolo and all our dealings with him were very professional. We asked lots of questions throughout the process and Pablo came back to us very promptly with the answers. The system was installed in early October. A team of roofers and electricians arrived at 8am and the system was installed and up and running at 5pm. The team were very easy to deal with and made very good suggestions regarding the location of components of the system. We have seen some reduction in our last few ESB bills but expect to see the full benefit when we move into spring and summer. We were also guided through the SEAI grant process, which was a significant help. All administrative requirements were explained clearly and handled promptly, making the entire experience far less time-consuming than expected. Overall, we would highly recommend SolarSmart if you are thinking of going solar.

I would highly recommend including their competitive prices. Extremely professional throughout the entire process.

An excellent company to deal with. From my initial enquiry which was detailed Steve provided all the information on Solar panel specs and battery storage. They offered a competitive quote. Matt did a site survey to check everything was OK before the installation. Conor (electric team) was on site first and got to work straight away with Sean and Sean following close behind. Paul (roofing and panel installers) and his team had the platform up and roof mounts and panels installed by 12.00 incredible professionalism. Conor and the Sean's were brilliant answering any questions I had. They worked hard and left the place very tidy. The work was completed very neatly. They were friendly and professional. Now I just wait for the sun 🌞 Im sure I'll have more questions when the systems starts working. I would highly recommend SolarSmart. Brilliant staff, products and timely communication. Huge thanks to Steve, Matt, Conor, Paul and all of the guys who were on site.

4 hours to install everything! Lovely, above and beyond what was asked, explained what was needed and kept things real easy. Very timely and very polite and left the place immaculate. Extraordinary Team though a Great Company Steve was a great seller, very professional, and accurate throughout the entire process. Congratulations on that!!! Keep up the great work. The fitting team was also extraordinary. They implemented the project perfectly, exactly as I wanted. They were fantastic. There were no cables outside the house and no holes in the walls. Simply great. Your company has a great team. There was a small accident, a screw fell from the roof and broke the table glass, but accidents do happen, and the team managed the situation in a significant way. They immediately cleaned everything and called the office, who said they would replace the glass. The way a team solves problems is crucial to customer satisfaction, and they were exceptional. Your Boss must be delighted to have such a good team working in the company.

We are very happy with the SolarSmart company and thier team for foing our install Price was very reasonable and was cheaper then others around. Communication was very clear and honest from the start,we were offered good support and insight as to what would suit our property and how many panels our roof could take. Installation was done in a day,and eventhough the weather was terrible the team did a very quick and neat job. We had to go for an outdoor install and inspite the lashing rains and winds the crew were spot on with thier commitment and completed the job. Installed 14 panels, eddi and 5.3kw battery in Dublin 15. Spoke to multiple suppliers and SolarSmart were professional, accommodating and responsive to my requirements. From the first interaction with the sales team, through to 2 site visits and multiple back and forth adjusting the specifications through to the the site install, the entire team were helpful, friendly and willing to go the extra mile to ensure I was satisfied. However, I wouldn't call myself an expert in solar energy. Excellent! Lots of research and conversations. Settled on Solarsmart Energy from amongst the deluge of companies out there. Delighted that I did. From the initial sales pitch visit, putting up with so many many questions and quotes, through installation by their own the their own roofing and electrical team (not outsourced) the company are swift, professional, neat and do what they say they will do when they say they will do it. No second guessing or missed appointments. Also, and the mark of a truly professional bunch who take pride in their service, when an issue arose with the unit neccessitating replacement, they had it fixed within 2 days - really excellent. No hesitation in recommending Solarsmart Energy.

In simple words; Very Professional Company who do a Great Job. I spent ages on the web looking at companies to do an install and who I could trust from the reviews. I made a list of three; Two based on reviews and One on a referral. One gave no answer back, another sent a quote out and didn't follow up. The last, the referral from someone who got this company to do work was SolarSmart. I emailed looking for a quote. I got a call on my mobile that day from Paolo. We talked and I asked for three quotes. I received them by the following day. I was told to email or contact with questions. I did this and he explained everything in simple terms. I put down a small deposit. Within a week the property was surveyed. I was then contacted on an install date. I paid a percentage of the final price approx. 50%, which is normal. The gang arrived on time. I lost count of the number of people, but everyone of them was so nice. Then we had a problem with the roof, so things stopped. Paolo and the management team went to work to resolve the issue. A few weeks later, they had a solution. A date was again fixed. The panels, 16 in total went up in one day. The electric crew came back, the following week. The install was finished and tested. Their work was excellent. Again, great group of guys. Everyone was professional and so tidy. The following week, the BER was organised. Now producing enough in the winter sun to keep the house going. What makes this a great company; people and communications. They talk and communicate with you; they also listen to you. The crews are professional with a good work mentality. They guide you through the whole process and take care of things at each step. Am I glad I got them..Yes I am.

Very efficient service from beginning to end. Paolo has been dealing with us throughout the whole process and even though we had some issues of our own he was very patient and kind. Highly recommended company if you want to get solar panels installed. We had an issue with the inverter after few months, it just stop working. I contacted Darren and he quickly came and sort it out few days after. Alex came to replace our battery because it went too low and the job was as well promptly done.

Thank you to all at Solarsmart for everything, from start to finish everyone was so courteous and professional. All questions were answered honestly, and you weren’t made feel silly for asking questions. The big plus for us was we didn’t have to put down a huge concrete slab, for our ground mounted system, we just needed a flat area. We got someone to come in and scrape the area and put down hardcore, just to get things right. Thanks to all the Munster lads who drove a huge distance to install panels.

I chose SolarSmart Energy Ltd as they supply some of the best quality products available, the price I was quoted was very competitive and from the positive reviews on Google. I made my booking through Paolo for a 16 panel system with a 5kw battery , he was always quick to respond with any queries I had and was very helpful. The lead time was short. The install team did a fantastic job, they left the place spotless after them and were a nice crew who did a very professional job. Post install , I have been in contact a number of times with Darren who has provided great support and helped me out on a number of occasions and been extremely courteous, patient and knowledgeable. Would highly recommend

We had 21 solar panels installed by solar smart in may , the process from start to finish was easy going no pressure just helpful advice from Georgina and also Darren. I asked so many questions on batteries inverters ev chargers and all my questions were answered promptly, Georgina was always there to take my calls. So I ended up with 8.8kw system with 5kw battery, we made a date for installation and bang on time the lads came and have to say the lads where good craic and very professional and helpful Alex Paul Sean and Darren where the lads who did my install and to this day Darren still answers my pestering questions, I would recommend solar smart for there personal touch over any big company and on going support they give you advice and they don’t sell you stuff you don’t need, and for anyone unsure if solar works in ireland the max so far in one day we generated 53kw, my advice is oversize on the panels it helps on cloudy days and the payback is quicker.

Couldn't recommend Solar Smart enough. The preliminary process was made easy thanks to Paolo's excellent help and attentiveness to our questions. Once we were satisfied with what we were getting, we paid a booking deposit and Solar Smart organised a site survey that week. We were then scheduled and the job was completed within 6 weeks. The fitters were very tidy and efficient and we seem to be generating between 8KWh (on a cloudy, rainy, Irish weather day) to 17KWh (on a semi cloudy, decent, dry, day). I've still to see what it will produce on a scoarcher.... Overall the system is simple to understand and monitor. Couldn't fault this company on anything.

We had a great experience dealing with this team from start to finish. Their patience in explaining the solar world to us at the start of the process right to the end with the professionalism of the installers who arrived punctually, were incredibly clean & tidy and left on time including the 'training' of us! Neat & discreet job as can be seen from he photo! We've been impressed with the set up which has been running for about 6 months now, despite it being winter we are noticing a difference in our bills and received our first payment from the grid last week! The guys at SolarSmart made the whole process of switching to Solar power so easy. We love myenergi app which allows us to control heating water, charging electric car or powering house. Free electricity what’s not to like. Great work guys
