Blue Solar PV Limited Reviews

Updating my review a week later to be more informative. We has our panels installed late last summer. We ended up with 6 panels in the end after some discussion. I had originally spoken to Bord Gais as they are our energy supplier but the wait was very long. I spoke with Blue Solar and they set out the timeline for installation which sounded much better. I don't recall the exact dates but I had made my frustration at the delays with bord gais clear and, in the end, I felt that the timelines from blue solar were also a bit longer than expected. The surveyor explained that the process would be done all in one day. In the end it was two separate days. We were told that the attic space would not be accessed on the first day so I didn't prep it and I ended up having to clock off from work to empty the space when that instruction suddenly changed. The electrician who finished the job offered to help with some other work and has since ghosted us, taking €250 for work that I'm now told would be about €70 as he didn't finish the other half. The panels did their thing for a few months but in October(?) We changed our broadband provider. The solis app to check the panels stopped working and I got the instructions to update the wifi connection. For some reason the passwords suggested wouldn't work. I was told to contact Solis who I spoke to on the phone. Solis sent me the same instructions document again and were just generally rude when I was explaining they hadn't answered my query at all. Late last year a smoke alarm installed next to the inverter started going off. It's not easy to access the space, could be worse, but in particular resetting it at 2am was painful. An alarm in that space is loud and left me feeling a but unwell after crawling around in it. Anyway, this happened repeatedly over Christmas and I eventually tore the alarm out. The inverter has various warning labels so I was wary of messing with it considering the alarms. I explained this but was told blue solar don't install alarms. I felt a little gaslit 😅 I had photos from the day before installation and there is no alarm. They ultimately rang their electrician and the alarm was installed by them. It was unlikely a dead battery as its so new so it was cheap/faulty. I was eventually told that I don't need one but I felt like they thought I was a nuisance for being unhappy about alarms going off. The app issue was ongoing through this. Solas eventually told me to reset the datalogger but I was reluctant to do this while the alarm issue was ongoing. I didn't know if the panels were working or if there was a fire hazard. I asked both solis and blue solar to send a technician and it was promised but I think forgotten. Once the alarm was confirmed faulty I felt more comfortable resetting the data logger which fixed the wifi connection. In my personal experience, I would not recommend getting solar panels. We're a relatively small usage home and we haven't seen benefit greater than the hassle the process has been. I am happy that it is environmentally friendly but possibly spending similar money on a heat pump or stove to reduce the gas bill might have given a similar result with less pain. I had a fairly long call with Giorgi on Friday discussing the various issues I've had. I had a similar call with him a few months back. He's very nice and i do appreciate the effort. I'm not a huge fan of the suppliers they use. I was asked to take down my review and I missed another call from Giorgi today possibly about the same subject. That's my full transparency and experience here. I'm sure over the next 10 years when the panels eventually pay for themselves it will have been good but I haven't enjoyed the process. The huge number of positive reviews surely speaks to better experiences than my own.

Massive thank you to Giorgi, Mark, Trish and the team at Blue Solar. We recently had 6.4kw of solar and 10Kw battery installed and are very happy with the whole experience. From the very first contact with Blue Solar we realised they where head and shoulders above others we had engaged. Giorgi and Mark listened to our requirements and built a system to match our complicated setup which included solar panels on both our house and shed. Installation was on time, tidy and professional and team was there on the dates agreed. Gorgi kept us in the loop the whole time and routinely checked in which was very reassuring. 6 weeks later and we are already seeing massive benefits with reduced electricity cost by charging battery during cheap EV window to use during the day. We are looking forward to the summer for even more savings. We would highly recommend the Blue Solar team if you are starting your solar journey. 5 STARS :)

Blue Solar installed solar panels for us in March 2025. I wanted to get a proper feel for the system and their service before writing a review, and now I can confidently say that our experience has been excellent. Mark was very thorough and knowledgeable from the beginning, and Giorgi was swift and patient when answering my many questions. I received quotes from several providers—both major and smaller companies—and did my own research. The panels and batteries offered by Blue Solar are very competitive, high‑end products, and we are extremely happy with them. The engineers who carried out the installation were efficient and completed the work within a few hours. Overall, it was a five‑star job. Highly recommended!

We have our system in operation for 18 mts now and we are very happy with it's performance. We chose Blue Solar after extensive research, but mainly because of a number of recommendations from family members and friends. We found Giorgi to be knowledgeable and friendly over the phone, very professional,but most importantly he listened to what we required from a solar system and delivered what we agreed. He kept us informed all through the process and coordinated the whole process. Mark called in person to our home and explained in detail what was possible to achieve, inspected the site and was realistic in his assessment. No hard sell, no over promising what was achievable, and all the options available to us. The installation crew and electricians did a fantastic job in a friendly and professional manner, couldn't be happier with their work. Blue Solar recently installed my solar panels, and I’d have to say that the entire process was very efficient and professional and the pricing very competitive. Mark did the house survey and brought me through the whole process from start to finish. His knowledge was extensive while his explanations were easy to understand. All my questions were answered comprehensively. Trish did all the admin stuff with great patients and accuracy and was always available to answer queries that came up post install. The installers were in and out of my house in a few hours and completed the job without fuss or drama. Again, very professional. Shortly after the panels were done the electricians came and connected up the inverter and Eddi. They were very neat and tidy and worked fast and efficiently without any stress or hassle. Since the install my energy bills have shown a huge reduction and the decision to invest was a no brainer that I'm very happy about. Mark and Giorgi are the most professional, realible and honest installers you could choose. They explain the process in a very understandable way. They commit to a date and deliver, they leave the place spotless and cause as little disturbance as possible. They will also offer you the best deal for a top quality product. The 2 other quotes did 1. Hard sell (horrendous ecperience) 2. Did not communicate after quote. 3. Lied about the number of panels we could get. 4. Prce didnt match quality of panels / battery. Only regreat, we should have got 2 batteries from the start! Giorgi thankfully is also ALWAYS at the other end of email and phone for any questions Istill have, and that to me is like gold !!

I had a 20 panel PV system installed by Blue Solar. From first contact with Blue Solar, they were prompt and responsive and had no issue answering all types of questions that I had. They provided a comprehensive proposal document outlining the full benenefits of the proposed system which was extremely helpful in deciding what suited our requirements. Payment terms were preferable to a lot of other PV providers. Full Installation over two days was on time and as planned and all installers were great to deal with. No hesitation in recommending Blue Solar to anyone and I would highly recommend them if you are considering PV Panels for your home or business.

I had been in contact with other solar companies in regard to getting a solar installation at our property but it was Blue Solar that impressed me the most with the initial consultation and site survey. Mark knew his stuff and advised me on my options, regarding orientation, location and number of panels, battery install, consumer unit requirements,etc. Blue Solar did all the paperwork regarding grants,certification, etc. The install was carried out super efficently and to a very high standard,these guys know their business. First of all, big thank you to Mark Carroll, and Giorgi Tchanturidze. They respond very quick, they were answering all my questions and giving me honest advice on the system i needed. It is a great service. The setup was straightforward and it started working straight away. It charges efficiently, even on cloudy days and keeps my batteries topped up without any issues. The build quality fells good and its reliable. Great value for anyone looking to go solar without any complications.

I have reached out to 6 different solar installers and Blue Solar was the earliest one to respond (within 1-2 days really) and they were one of the cheapest options. Giorgi was always quick to respond to, and I like that they did not want to force anything, they just proceeded with what I demanded, they were not pushy at all. After agreeing to proceed, Mark came in to house to explained the procedure, he even suggested that they have new powerful panels arrived and we should consider it (which we did, glad that we did), we were told that the whole process from start to finish will take 4 to 6 weeks (which other companies said numbers that are at least starting from 2 months), then it held true. Roofing crew came in 5th week and they installed 9 panels within 3-4 hours, which was the maximum our roof could take. Then next week electricans came in and connected the panels to the inverter. I have to say everyone, literally everyone was respectful. For instance I do not allow shoes in the house, and this was respected. Aside from that really I do not have much to say, each and everyone in the company was honest, punctual and I felt like really cared about as a customer, which for me has major importance. I was able to ask any question whenever I want and I always received correct answers, they really gave me an impression of an honest company. I sincerely recommend them to anyone looking for a solar installer, you will not be disappointed. Great service from the start, very punctual clean and tidy. I am very impressed at how the system is working even in the winter months. Giorgi was excellent at answering my (many) questions and giving me honest advice on the system I needed to achieve what I was looking for. I found blue Solar was different than other companies I got quotes from, other companies just wanted me to buy what they were selling but blue Solar built a package that met my needs and balanced my budget.
