Excellent equipment,competently…

Excellent equipment,competently installed with long guarantees. Communication problem with router/modem solved with signal booster. Some untidy finishing in the house required a callback, now sorted. Friendly, cooperative staff throughout who worked round other trades on site. It would have been a 5-star score except for the tidy-up.

Got a4 kw pv system installed four and a half years ago on my semi detached house . From st to finish absolutely no time wasted .No hitches . Unit still working without fault. Phoned company lastweek with a query . Was speaking to zoltan withen 3 minutes . Got up my file . Helped me with my query on the spot. I have found my dealings with veep to be Top class..

I've contacted zoltan as part of my market research for the installation of the solar system at my home. His experience and knowledge helped me to select a suitable system for my needs. It's more than a year now after installing a 6kv solar system with 10kw battery backup. Even with my EV, I could bring the electricity bill substantially down now. Finally, the selection of the smart meter plan and fine-tuning the battery charge/discharge cycle according to the season, and EV Charging habit making the most difference. I am really satisfied with his work and outcomes.

Solar Panel Installation

Veep energy recently installed 10 Solar Panels. The work was completed to a high standard, correct locations chosen for various appliances, and hardly no tidying or cleaning upon completion. Consultation and communication was excellent throughout, everything explained in great detail and assistance was provided downloading Apps etc. Would highly recommend Veep Energy for Solar Panel installation.

Purchased a Zappi in May

Review updated. 12/01/2024. Although there was a delay for initial acknowledgement of the issue Zoltan has been proactive about the issue and is working to provide a replacement zappi due to the fault. Original Review 11/01/24 Purchased a Zappi in May. No issues until yesterday when I found the charging cable was difficult to remove so when I checked the zappi port I found 2 pins were badly schorched. I isolated the power to it and my electrician inspected the zappi and found that the port Live and Neutral cables were burnt (Live cable badly damaged, close to combustion). This part of the zappi is assembled by the manufacturer so it is evident it is a manufacturer fault. Obviously this is not Veep Energy's fault but I have had no e mail response from customer care and they are not answering any calls all day. As this is a fire hazard safety issue, I would expect a prompt response.

I highly recommend VEEP

VEEP completed a solar PV / battery installation at our home on May 16th. They completed the work over a two day period as promised. There was an install date given at the time of order and they were on site exactly as per schedule. The quality of the installation is first class with great attention to detail. The system design is first class with an Eddi diverter and Zappi charger to route surplus solar generation to water heating and car charging seamlessly. The system works brilliantly and we've seen very minimal grid consumption since the system went live in mid-May of this year. The entire team were very good, easy to work with and very efficient in how they went about their business. Their CEO, Zoltan, was extremely accommodating on last minute changes to the specification. The after sales service has also been faultless with queries and issues attended to speedily. The grant application process also went very smoothly thanks to the VEEP team. I have worked with very many contractors down through the years both privately and professionally and I can honestly saw that VEEP are right up there as a company that I would recommend to others without hesitation and use again should the opportunity arise. In fact, they've already done a car charger for my daughter and we'll likely have them to back to add some more battery storage capacity. All told, a very positive experience

Really poor follow up and customer service. The electrician was very thorough and did an excellent job in an awkward location, his team were super. Unfortunately I can’t recommend this company though as their sales rep completely misled us and we haven’t got a satisfying outcome at all, also trying to get follow up and a request for a consultation to figure out how to get a better outcome hasn’t resulted in any success, request for follow up just ignored. Sales rep gave us false advice so we aren’t getting any savings at all from the system he advised, which is such a disappointment as the solar panels are expensive to install, but due to bad information we’ve just lost money rather than saved.

Do not engage with this company. Utter pointless aftersales in this day and age. Save yourself allot of money by not using Save me money.

This company should not be in business

This company should not be in business. A few years have gone by since 10 solar panels where installed two of which are damaged, battery doesn’t work ESB confirmed energy from the remaining 8 panels is going straight into the grid when the company where approached with supportive evidence the director Zoltan Nemeth was dismissive and has not responded to my Solicitor letters. The SEAI have also been contacted and have been asked to remove this company from their listings. Any company undertaking work and provides guarantees and then Negates on its contract should not be in business.

Great company to deal with

Great company to deal with, ordered an EV charger from them. Cheapest I could find the Zappi unit anywhere online. Great communcation and updates. It arrived in 48 hours. Can't ask better than that!

Avoid this poor excuse of a company

I've been avoiding writing this review as I thought I'd give VEEP a chance to redeem the wrongs they have done. I bought a Marlec iBoost unit on the 27th of August. I undertook my due diligence by reading these Trustpilot reviews, and thought they sounded like a decent company. I paid over £400 in total - £335 for the unit, £14 delivery and £77 import tax. The unit arrived a week later. There was no packaging, the smashed box had someone else's name written in pen on it and the unit had been used. It smelled burnt out, there were black marks all over it and the safety clips that should remain in place until used had been snapped. I contacted VEEP instantly and advised them of this via telephone, and followed it up with an email including photos. They advised on the phone that they would be in contact in 24 hours, but we heard NOTHING from them for 5 days, so we called and emailed them again. Zoltan responded 2 days later, claiming that they do not sell used items (they obviously do!), but agreed to offering either a refund including fees or a new unit. We opted for a new unit as we still needed one, but a week or so later, I received a cryptic email which literally stated: "Customer refunded. or process is started now via the payment provider" I emailed back, asking if this meant he's refunding me as opposed to sending a new unit, and surprise surprise, NO RESPONSE AGAIN! A week later, I received a notification that the cost of the unit had been refunded. I called to enquire about the delivery and import fees, but the useless woman who's sitting at home with screaming kids in the background just said "I can't help" and hung up. So, I'm about £100 down with no iBoost and a sour taste from the poorest experience of customer service I have ever received. I can't stress this enough - DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. All aspects have been awful. The products are faulty, the customer service is non existant and needless to say, I'll avoid them like the plague. The amount of time and energy this has wasted is immense. It has caused me so much stress, and I'm still without a working product. I think 1 star is generous, I'd leave zero if possible. What an utter farce.

Good source of equipment

I ordered a Myenergi EDDI which are really hard to find and it was sourced and sent to us quickly. Good comms and they are fast & happy to answer direct questions. I would recommend them

Some small hiccups with scheduling but very minor. Excellent team of panel installers and electricians. Everything working as expected. I highly recommend this company.

Fantastic company

Zoltan and his team installed a PV system for me over a year ago. The system has been fantastic and I am delighted with the results. The output from the panels has even exceeded the projected figures Zoltan provided! Nothing was too much trouble for Zoltan. My roof was made of metal and, unlike other companies I got quotations from, Zoltan sourced specialist brackets which meant there would be no water ingress. Excellent. Would thoroughly recommend. I personally will never deal with this company again. The product arrived in its original battered box taped together with masking tape vis courier without and transport packaging. The internal product appeared miss packaged and slightly scuffed. I phoned before opening to be told that’s what they do and the product had been to the UK and back to another disgruntled costumer prior to coming to me so had traveled a lot. I was told I could returned the product at my own postal expense if I wanted a refund or replacement. Extremely poor customer relations. I had the product Ed checked by electrician and all appears ok.

I wanted to buy a solar diverter eddi (arround 500€) I see in the website the pictures of new model. Also the installing manual is for the new model so i payed for it. When i downloaded the data sheet pdf from the buyer site i see that this is for a very old model. I wrote them to confirm that i will receive the new model as in the picture and after 3 days i received an answer that they have refunded the sum i payed because the model in the picture is not available. They wanted to send me an old model to get rid of the stock ! This is a scam ! There is a week since i payed and they lied about the refund. No refund yet on paypal site. I opened a claim.

We are very happy with their installation of our PV solar array and battery, leaving a very smart and tidy setup. The recommended LG 410w bifacial panels have lived up to the marketing, peaking at 476w per panel so far. They also dealt very efficiently with the BER and grant process.

It's a brilliant set up. They promised We can save 60% of the electricity's bill. A year gone by and I would say that it's true! I just did a research what I paid before and what I am paying now we even used more electricity then before and we are still paying less then the previous years. Even the electricity provider not paying yet what I charging back to the grid. That's going to be some extra savings over the 60% promises. Good quality, friendly staff to installing the system. Correct company! It's worth it ,I would highly recommend to every one!!!

A great team who are very knowledgeable about their products, excellent installation even down to removing every bit of packaging. I had to rearrange my installation last minute for personal reasons and Zoltan and his team rescheduled with no hassle. After care is excellent and Timi is super efficient answering all emails very promptly. Would happily recommend for you solar needs.

The team lead by Zoltan were very professional and competent at all times. There were no issues with regards to site visit for survey or organising the installation date. Everything was done in a timely fashion. The panel/roof fitters and electricians were very professional cleaning up after themselves. I am very happy with the whole job and would recommend the company to anyone.

Excellent company to deal with. I initially met with John, who has been a pleasure to deal with throughout the process. Save me Money designed the system around my requirements and easily beat all competitors on price. Zoltan and Adrian stayed late on a Friday night to fix a software issue with the inverter during install. They promptly fixed it remotely on Saturday and texted immediately to advise the same. Overall the experience was good, professional & information was given as the job progressed & as we requested it. I have even been able to get very specific information 8 or 9 days after commissioning as we monitored our figures and then asked for explanations. There was perhaps a blip in some communications between installation days. However we do appreciate availability of teams amidst storms, staff leave and the fact of our distance away from Savememoney's base are factors that can prove challenging to anyone! The most important thing was the fact that when work was being carried out it was all done in a tidy professional manner.

I did quite a bit of research before I decided to go with Zoltan and his crew, He is super approachable and really knows the technology well, he adjusted the quote for me based on his knowledge and experiance, He stayed on last with Adrian (electrican)on a Friday evening to get me setup, I could'nt recommend them higly enough! Zoltan is an Engineer and not some type of salesman trying to sell the tech.

I recently had a residential job commissioned by Zoltan at SaveMeMoney. It was a complicated job just to limited space on my roof thanks to a former window. Over the course of 6 months Zoltan and his team patiently went back and forth via email, phone and site visits to come up with the best plan of action for my home. The available space was maximized to the full and we also went with a battery system. With the system up and running for close to a month now I can say I am very happy with the job. The installation and commissioning was done in the specified timeframe, workmanship was very high quality and tradesmen cleaned up after them which was a pleasant change. Zoltan was available throughout out of hours to discuss many many changes to the system. Pricing was extremely competitive and came in significantly lower than many of the competitors plus Zoltan was recommended to me by a local wholesaler which I felt said a lot. All in all would certainly recommend and return in the future for any future solar or wind installations we may have an opportunity to install.
