I had a fantastic experience with Solarstream and would highly recommend them to anyone considering solar PV installation. From the very beginning, they were professional and responsive. After my initial inquiry, they promptly arranged a remote survey, which was carried out efficiently. Sinead provided me with a couple of well thought out design options, tailored to my needs. Lindsey was also incredibly helpful answering all my questions promptly and thoroughly, without ever applying any sales pressure. The equipment they installed is top quality and perfectly suited to the Irish climate, not to mention, it looks great too. The entire process was coordinated efficiently, and the installation team was professional. I chose Solarstream for their commitment to customer service and technical competence. I’m very happy with the result and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

Refusing to honour warranty,

I have been trying for several months to get the datalogger on my solar inverter working, but without success. I contacted Solarstream several times and they promised to get back to me and resolve the issue but never did. Then, my system went down during the recent power outages following Storm Eowyn. When power returned the inverter was no longer working. I contacted Solarstream and again was told they would get back to. They waited a week and then told me there was nothing they could do as my warranty was up. I was told I would have to pay €250 for a call out and then the cost of replacement parts. My system was installed on January 24th 2020. It went down during the night of January 23/24th 2025, but they are still claiming it is out of warranty. This is an unscrupulous and utterly unprofessional outfit. Speaking to others I know with solar generating systems, the companies who installed their systems contacted them prior to the storm to let them know what to expect and how to get their systems ready for it. Solarstream would not even return a customer's call. Remember, installing a system is the beginning of relationship. My advice, don't start a relationship with these people.

Avoid this kind of business

Just had a different contractor to access theirs work, as after installs and experience were appalling, my house is 3storey building in Dun Laoghaire with limited access to roof that likely gave them hope of nobody ever finding out. I paid for 19 panel system, but Supplied inverter was never able to accommodate that many panels, so they just fitted them on to roof regardless and never connected 2 of them. I find very hard to believe 2 panels were not connected by mistake or oversight of installers, which were only good experience with this company, as there was connection cable made to loop those 2 missing and referring company accessing, my system was exactly 2 panels over the limit of hardware. I was basically scammed, considering legal options now.

steer clear of this company. They havent any bit of experience about their industry. we went with them to try support local but please avoid this company. There customer service is awful. First thing was they under quoted the grant from the seai so after the install they wanted more money from us. One of the engineers put their foot through our ceiling and they also left a slate off while it was raining so it leaked into our master bedroom and now even after they did try to fix it there is a permanent mark. They sold a serve that both you and they will monitor the panels. This worked for about a month and then stopped working. They haven't monitored the service once and they honestly dont get once they get your money. Google the CEO and you will see why this fraudster has been before the high court before. Stay well away from this company as they are just money grabbing and dont want to know about you once they get your money.

Solar stream installed 5 panels for us last year, the work was good quality especially by their electrician who was very obliging. Their salesman was a bluffer, he underestimated how many panels would fit on our roof but I think he had left the company before our installation even took place. Bit disappointed in our return, about €480 for 2023, but the weather was very poor this year even by Irish standards.

Very nice people to deal with. Chloe and Alice were very helpful and kept me informed of all of the installation. The lads were very good and knew what they were doing. I now have 8 pv panels and a 4.8 kW battery fitted working perfectly. Would highly recommend.

Great company. Solarstream is take out the handle with the grant application and will take care of the paperwork. The information provided was second to none. The whole team, be it sales (Anthony), the roofer Keith, electricians Sean and Cian, supervisor Ross and aftersales Kellie are just a dream to work with. Great experience. A 92 kw system was installed on the roof of our warehousing units in Shannon. The application and installation process was effortless with thanks to Michael & Kellie who were on the ball start to finish.

I got solar stream to install 10 panels and eddi hot water diverted in my house Anthony the sales man was great he talked us through from start to finish and we are absolutely delighted with the finished product. We have boiling hot water and have halfed our electricity bill . I highly recommend solar stream for the professional way they went about every aspect of the job and the installer's they were very clean and tidy. A+++++++

I ordered a system on 31/03/2023

I ordered a system on 31/03/2023. I paid the deposit of €2437.50. I got the paperwork stating the work would be done in 6 to eight weeks that was 16 weeks ago. I would not recommend this company. I am today ordering from Activ8 and I will post my experience with them in the near future.

I would not recommend this company. They installed solar panels in our house. we choose them as they were local and the sales man talked a good talk. He miss quote the grant from seai, they allowed water leak into our bedroom ceiling from the roof and from the outset really seemed to not have a clue what they were doing. They told us our system would be monitored remotely and any issues could be identified from their side. (this was another one of their lies). We asked for help setting up the monitoring app to which they sent out instructions which were limited and didnt apply to our system. No one ever explained how to correctly use and make the most of the system but i think this was because they hadnt a clue themselves. on hot days our hot water tank is way too hot and no one has explained how to manage that instead they told us over the phone to turn down the thermometer on the hot water tank (which our hot water tank does not have) they then had the neck to send and engineer out to check the system and send me a bill for 170 euro without any warning! stay clear of this company as you will regret it! customer service is awful no one wanted to help answer our questions

I’ve had a 10 panel 4kw, 2.4kw battery and Eddi hot water diverter installed. Absolutely great service from beginning to end and the roofing team and electricians were superb. Very happy to recommend Solarstream.

I engaged solarstream to install a 4.2 kW solar panel array, (14 panels), on my south facing , 28 degree, sloped residential roof in January this year. Their agent, Brian Fox, was the only face of their company, and I was happy about that, as Brian dealt ably with all my queries. The installation of the panels took about a day, and the electrical installation about another day and a half. Both jobs done by efficient subcontractors. Everything went smoothly, and I am very happy with the results. In the month of May, I generated 560 kW of power, approx 16kW per day, of which I use 60 per cent, and 40 going back to the grid. I am content to give solarstream and Brian Fox a big 👍
