Highly recommended

From start to finish, our solar installation (eight panels and battery) was excellent. What I really appreciated was that there was no hard sell. Owen came to our house and spent about an hour answering all our questions about cost, returns, number and location of panels, location of battery etc, and gave us as long as we liked to decide whether we wanted to proceed with the installation or not. When we'd decided to go ahead we were given a time for the installation that was adhered to. Qassam and Philip did a neat and professional installation job and we were ready to go the next day. I would thoroughly recommend Grian 52.

Installation and advice.

Prior to installation, a Director of Grian52 visited to decide upon the best system and location of the various parts. The workmanship, frienliness and advice of the installing team were of a high standard. The overall cost was competitive and already we are seeing the financial benefit of the system

Great sytem with excellent support by Grain52

The system supplied by Grain52 is excellent incorporating features that in other systems require additional modules (to control water heating for example). The feature to continue supplying electricity during power outages is really good and works seamlessly. Installation was done neatly and promptly following good consultation regarding my requirements. The entire team is friendly and obliging. After market support has been good and no question has gone unanswered. Installed in February, savings to date have exceeded my expectations.

From the start I had a great experience working with Owen Tango and his company, Grian52. He was helpful and knowledgeable and he has a great team. All through the installation they were responsive to my questions and concerns. After the installation they remain responsive to any queries. A very good experience.

Grian 52 Solar Installation

Owen is always very helpful and has huge knowledge. He has called out to me at a weekend during a powercut to get me going on battery on my system as it was newly installed. The app is great to see what's happening. Overall I'm happy with the very tidy installation. The lads were always friendly and helpful with advice and instructions. After sales service is very prompt. Happy to recommend to anyone interested in solarPV.

Grian52 Solar Installation

We decided to install solar panels on our new build due to ever rising energy costs and also the fact that we would be using an air-to-water heat pump to heat our home. We rang around to a number of different providers to get information and quotes on what set up would suit us best. Once we got in touch with Owen and his team at Grian52 we were impressed that he came to visit our site on the first day we called him and in no time at all he had made a plan on what would suit us best with regards to the design of our house, it's orientation and what our electricity needs would be. Our quote from Grian52 for solar panels, inverter and battery storage was very competitive and in our view, the best value quote that we received. Owen is great to deal with and is always on hand to answer any questions we may have about the system. It definitely gives peace of mind that Grian52 are based locally here in Schull and are never far away if we need anything. Installation was quick and professional and since we have moved in we have been delighted with our set up and most importantly our electricity bills have been in credit. I would have no hesitation in recommending Grian52 to anyone deciding to install Solar.

A friendly and efficient team. Owen is very responsive with queries and messages. No electricity bill since installation in April but will need a full year to see how it evens out. Happy to recommend.

I got my Solar system installed in May…2025

I got my Solar system installed in May and I am very pleased with the system.Owen of Grian52 was very helpful in me deciding the correct system that would suit me best. I have exported alot of Kw during this period and I have no electricity bills coming in,only being credited for the Kw that I have exported. At this rate I think that I would have the system paid for in 5 or 6 yrs and saved the environment alot too. I would recommend Grian52 because they have done a neat and tidy job and if I have any questions ,they are always easy to contact and very helpful.

Grian 52… a pleasure to deal with.

I have used Grian 52 to install solar on two house now and I can’t fault their support and quality of work. In addition when I had some other electrical issues in one of the properties they were very helpful in sorting those for me also. I cannot recommend Grian 52 enough. I would certainly use them again. Their after sales support is really good also, plus they are a really friendly bunch of folks.

I’ve recently had 14 west facing panels…

I’ve recently had 14 west facing panels installed to augment our original 12 south facing panels. All installed by Owen and his team without hassle or fuss. So with that in mind I am comfortable recommending Grian 52 to anyone going down the PV installation route. Hope this helps.

Writing to say as a former subbie…

Writing to say as a former subbie electrician, terrible company to work for. Hours could range from 8 am to 4 am the next morning on occasions and 7 days a week, one Saturday as myself and my colleague were to go home as we live 2 and a half hours away were informed to start a fuseboard change at 7 pm on a Saturday evening. Also was payed in cash at the start which was great, but someone ran cables messing on 1 job and I only did 2nd fix for the most part I was told 'I'd have to take the hit too, as he never charged the client for a full rewire, I found this hard to believe'. I argee with the other 1 star here alot of great talking but when it comes down to it ,it's entirely untrue, I have screenshots of the text over non payment of work. We Highly recommend Grian52 for your solar installation. Owen and his team exceeded our expectations, on budget, on schedule and up and running in no time. The app is an added value allowing us to gauge usage. Our most recent electric bill had a credit of €97. Great job 👏

Owen and his team at Grian 52 were extremely helpful and went out of their way on more than one occasion to support us. They over specified a system for which they took a huge 40% deposit and couldn't install it. I have a legal judgement for most of my deposit back, gave him 6 months to pay before handing the matter over to Cork County Sheriff's office. I know of plenty people with similar experience, some far worse than mine. The company seems to survive on hand to mouth basis and struggles to maintain staff. I can see feom other reviews thay are managing some installs ok but I am guessing they won't be around to service their installations much longer.

PV installation in West Cork.

I have now had two separate systems installed over the course of 2024. Both were installed professionally and properly and the installers were knowledgeable and friendly. Clean up afterwards was nice to see! After sales contact and service needs to be strengthened somewhat, but that aside I would have no hesitation to recommend. Well done Grian 52 and thank you.

Highly recommend Grian52. Owen and his team were fantastic from start to finish. Owen is a fountain of knowledge - an expert in all things green energy. He guided us through the entire process from choosing the right amount of solar panels, battery storage, micro inverter, etc. He also helped with the grant application and warranty registration. He is now designing us a heat pump system to be run off solar. We received our second electricity bill since the panels were connected and we are in credit!! No bill!

We contacted Owen and his team after his presentation on sustainable energy at Kilcrohane village hall. He helped us choose an appropriate system for our property and how to get the grant from the SEAI. Installation is immaculate and minor post - installation niggles were sorted asap. Owen and his team were always happy to immediately respond to our queries and come out to our property when we needed him on site to explain things. Happy to recommend him to friends and family.

Grian 52 provided a terrible service and incompleted works on my solar PV system. They've offered no recourse, customer service or help in any way. They now display pictures and videos of my property and system all over their social media and website after being asked repeatedly to remove them. The system being displayed / advertised is not in working order. Beware!!!!!

I paid 23k for a solar system 100% up front in good faith in Dec21. I paid another 8k in electrician, plumbing and roofing costs on top of this. It was over sold, over priced, over complicated, is incomplete and does not work. The inverter is not compatible with the lithium ion batteries that were provided so the batteries do not work. The pumps and sensors on the hot water part of the system also never worked. GRIAN52 have refused to return to address these issues.
