From start to finish, the service was excellent. Any issues that came up were quickly solved, communication was easy, and everyone was very friendly. The whole process was smooth and great value for money. Highly recommend Blackwell Energy, couldn’t fault them.

I recently had a solar installation completed by this company and, unfortunately, the overall experience was quite poor, primarily due to ongoing communication issues and repeated failures to arrive on agreed dates. The installation team completed the initial day’s work but informed me at the end of the day that they could not finish due to brittle tiles on the roof. I was told someone would follow up—this was on a Wednesday. I received no contact, so I followed up myself the following Monday. I was told the team might return on Tuesday and that I would receive confirmation later that day. No confirmation ever came. On Tuesday, an engineer did visit the house, but this visit was unrelated to the solar panel installation. I then received a message on Thursday evening advising that the panel team would come on Friday, only for this to be cancelled due to weather. I confirmed my availability for the following Wednesday, but no one arrived, and when I followed up I was simply told that if no one turned up, I should assume they weren’t coming. I finally received another message on Thursday confirming a Friday visit. The team did arrive that Friday and completed the installation, although the electrician who was meant to walk me through the system never showed up. After installation, I was given no handover on how to operate the system—no explanation on switching it on or off, entering electricity prices into the app, or pairing my phone with the inverter. The inverter was not configured to send power to the grid, which I had to resolve myself. Additionally, the paperwork left in the house was for a completely different inverter model than the one installed. Overall, the lack of communication, missed appointments, and absence of a proper system handover made this a disappointing experience. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this company.

If anyone out there is thinking about getting solar I would advise you to consider Blackwell energy This is an Irish company and I have to give them 5 stars from start to finish I knew what I wanted regarding Battery which was the Tesla powerwall 3 but there were very few companies who supplied and had staff trained to install same I had five sales reps call to the house 2 of the companies quoted me crazy prices and 2 didn’t even have the Tesla powerwall 3 battery ! But from the moment I met Declan from Blackwell energy I knew this was the company for me Declan is very friendly professional and down to earth went through everything with me and put me at ease Declan kept in constant contact with me during and after install I would also like to thank the electricians and the guys who installed the panels even the girls in the office what a wonderful team and experience getting solar can’t thank them all enough at Blackwell energy thanks again Mary

Blackwell Energy installed my Solar PV system with Tesla Powerwall 3 and Backup Gateway 2. The team was very professional and have done everything according to my needs and requests. The installation was very tidy and neat. I can highly recommend.

We initially met Keith, who was incredibly passionate about solar energy and made a great first impression. We chose Blackwell initially due to their quote. However, the real measure of a good company is how they handle things when plans don't go smoothly — and that's where Blackwell truly stood out. We encountered a few unexpected challenges during the project. It turned out our roof was made of asbestos and wasn’t suitable for mounting solar panels, which meant we had to retile the roof. Blackwell were very understanding of this unforeseen expense and went out of their way to source cost-effective roofing and asbestos disposal services for us. When it came time to install the panels, Paul and Ciaran were a pleasure to work with — professional, courteous, and efficient. We did have a minor issue with some damage to the ceiling below the attic during the installation, but Alan and Blackwell handled it without hesitation. They arranged for it to be fully replastered and painted, restoring it to its original condition. Customer satisfaction clearly matters deeply to them. They take pride in their work and ensure everything is finished to a high standard, without leaving a mess behind. I would definitely recommend Blackwell to anyone looking for reliable, conscientious solar panel installers.

Hi there, i recently interviewed 9 companies to requested proposals to install a 6.5 Kw solar panel system at my family home. I decided to go with Blackwell Energy for the following reasons and am very pleased with the completed installation. My decision was based on the following: 1. Design of install. 2. Quality of install 3. Safety of install. 4. Convenience of install.

Blackwell Energy were very prompt and a pleasure to deal with from start to finish. Ciaran called to give advice and quote for installation, he was very professional and in no rush, he explained everything. The survey was carried out on our house and true to their word the installation crew arrived the afternoon before to ensure all was good to go for next morning. On the morning of installation 6 intallers arrived before 9.00am and were finished completely by 4.00pm. A very clean, tidy job. They are are a great group to deal with.

Blackwell Energy installed our solar panels. The entire process was excellent right from quote process, installation and aftersales support/grant process. Everyone we dealt with from Blackwell Energy was polite and extremely helpful/efficient. When we couldn't get the Eddi app to connect to our home network straight away on the Friday evening, the technician logged a service issue but then dropped by on the Monday to make sure we were sorted out. Highly recommend using Blackwell to install solar panels.

From initial quote to final install the service provided was fantastic. The quote was easy to understand and the way they help with the grant application takes away a lot of stress and also means the upfront cost is more manageable. The crew who did the install were excellent, they were efficient, friendly and very tidy. Great value for money. I would absolutely recommend Blackwell for solar install.

We are delighted to have chosen Blackwell Energy who installed a Solar PV array and related technology (we decided not to go for batteries at this time). The Blackwell team worked well and efficiently (installation completed in one day) and engaged / communicated well with us throughout the project. Fantastic company. Very professional and SEAI sealed approved. I went ahead and got solar panels on my apartment in Blessington County, Wicklow. I am very pleased with the set up. The software they offer is very user-friendly and full of useful Information. Paddy, the boss was a gentleman and the team did an exceptional job. I’m a very pleased customer and I will be recommending this company to neighbours and friends.

I contacted Keith Lee at Blackwell Energy to inquire about a Solar PV System. I have a keen interest in solar power and the benefits that this type of renewable energy has for the environment. After speaking to Keith it was very clear that Blackwell Energy was the right choice for me. From the initial contact with Keith right through to the installation Keith and the team at Blackwell Energy were available to answer any questions or queries that I had. After meeting with Keith I decided to install a 6.88kWh System with 16 Jinko Panels on two roofs ESE/SW facing with a 10KW Weco battery. The initial system estimates for energy saving projected a 46-50% yearly reduction but after my first month of solar generation this figure will be closer to 80% reduction in energy bills over the coming year. I was very pleased with initial energy savings but I am delighted that its so much better than the original prediction. Keith and the team at Blackwell Energy were very professional and are still available to speak with me even after the completion of my solar system. Blackwell Energy installed a solar system at our business premises in Celbridge. The whole process was seamless, from survey to completion. They guided us through the grant process, which was even easier than we expected. The installation team were very tidy and there was no disruption to our business.
