Delighted with our A1 BER rating! Home Comfort Retrofits did a One Stop Shop full retrofit on our 1998 home last year, bringing it from a D1 rating to an A1. The staff on site were friendly and professional and treated our home with respect. The work was carried out to a very high standard, and we can really feel the difference in the warmth and heating costs since the retrofit was completed

I recently enquired about having some retro-fit work done and I found Wayne to be very knowledgeable and easy to deal with. Their office were also very efficient in dealing with my enquiry and I've now got a clear blue print of how to go about improving my energy efficiently and the grants available to me to do so.

Couldn’t have asked for a for a more professional group. Needed a new front door and front window in a hurry for my parents so we contacted Shane and his team and they looked after them in a fast efficient way. HCR carried out roof insulation works on my house as part of the SEAI grant system. From first contact, HCR were very easy to deal with, very clear with communication and always available to speak to prior to commencing work. During the works phase, the installers were incredibly professional and diligent in their work. They did a great job on our roof and left the house in a very clean state. They also handled the SEAI grant admin end of things very promptly. Would definitely recommend for house upgrade works

HCR renovated and retrofitted our 3-bed 1970s semi-detached house in Celbridge and the experience was excellent! The team were attentive, professional, and easy to work with. A lot of other retrofit companies wouldn't take on the construction which involved a new porch, and digging up concrete floor for underfloor heating. The house now feels and looks fantastic, and most importantly we have gone from a D3 to an A1 BER rating. Bills are dramatically lower, we’re generating electricity, and we no longer need oil. HCR are progressive not only in their technical approach but also in their team. It was refreshing to see such a diverse and talented crew. The process was very collaborative with great results. We would highly recommend HCR!

From the initial engagement with Home Comfort Retrofits, I was at ease with their professionalism and planning putting me at ease with the whole project from start to finish. Home Comfort Retrofits completed an energy upgrade and substantial building works to our 1970s home in Leixlip. To say the results surpassed our expectations would be an under-statement. What was a draughty cold house with one room completely out of bounds in the Winter, is transformed to a cosy and welcoming warm home with bright light flooding through are new triple glazed passive windows. The Home Comfort Retrofit team were very professional from start to finish offering expert advice and excellent recommendations on how to best improve energy rating on our home. The compressor went in my heat pump and I needed the outdoor unit replaced. I was really pleased with the level of communication, professionalism and response time from the team as well as the advice given to get me up and running again in the most economical way. Will be using the team for all my servicing in the future.

The words I'd use to describe these guys are Thorough, Professional, Efficient, CLEAN (always left the place extremely clean - and they were knocking walls and working through mucky winter conditions), and Excellent Value. The team at Home Comfort Retrofits carried out a One-Stop-Shop for my apartment in Spring/Summer 2024. From the beginning assessment to final checks, the whole team were highly efficient, personable and professional, with a very impressive attention to detail. The works were carried out in full in approx. 3 months, and I am so happy with the result, which brought my apartment from an F energy rating to a A2. I recently purchased an aging property in Maynooth with a D3 BER, and was keen to upgrade it to an A3 to make it more comfortable, efficient and future-proofed. I engaged a number of prospective firms to quote for the work and was bombarded with information, a variety of options, costs and concerns about making the right selection. Soon after this, I contacted Home Comforts Retrofits and within a few days of meeting Shane on site, I knew I would be in safe hands contracting them for the work. It was a simple enough contract for them, only complicated by my additional demands for small auxiliary works which were quickly agreed and completed by Shane and Wayne. Being absent for much of the project I put my trust in Shane and Wayne to manage the renovation and to use their expertise to guide me on small additional works to safeguard the property long-term. They did everything that I asked of them, at every turn they went above and beyond, and that's a rare trait in any walk of life. There was a real personal touch that is sorely lacking in most interactions these days, from contacts with suppliers of flooring, to workmen to do small jobs for me, it was more like a family relationship. I honestly cannot speak highly enough of the firm and Shane specifically, salt of the earth, honest, stand-up guy, I feel like I've made a friend for life. To top it all off, the end product is far beyond anything I imagined, the advice was spot-on throughout, I've had many enquiries from neighbours about the company due to the high-quality finish. But best of all, thanks to their exceptional workmanship and quality of products used, from solar PV, heat-pump and external insulation, we actually exceeded the original requirement to get an BER of A3, achieving a scarcely believable A1! The team at Home Comfort Retrofits carried out work in our home last spring (2024). It was a tricky and complicated job in a limited space and they really did a fantastic job.
