Very happy with my Solar installation by Caldor. Everything was clearly explained in detail, I carried out the groundwork myself, and the panels, inverter and cabling into the board was done by Caldor. Everything was done very neat. Highly recommend.
Caldor installed my panels in November of 2022. Their customer service is exemplary from the team that installed the panels and batteries on day 1, to the technicial and general customer care support I’ve received from them since. The ability to be able to contact someone and get a prompt response is a godsend and something lacking in many businesses these days. They service the system annually (on request), the system is monitored closely and they are proactive in contacting me to resolve any issues that may arise. I’d have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone interested in installing a system in the future.
Caldor Solar installed our Solar Panels in mid-September of this year. From consultation to installation the process was flawless. The entire team at Caldor Solar were very professional and knowledgeable. Our first contact was with Kamil who visited our home and explained step by step and in detail the process involved. There was no hard sell and any subsequent contact with Kemil was professional and courteous. We had sixteen Solar panels fitted on three separate sections of the roof on our home. On the appointed date the instalation team arrived promptly at 8am. and the full installqqqation was completed by 4pm. The team involved were efficient, professional and tidy. We highly recommend Caldor Solar. Marie & Noel Flynn.
I ordered 18 panels and a battery from.Caldor and I would happily recommend them to anyone. There was no hard sell and plenty of useful technical information from the team. The installation was done very efficiently over two days - one by a roof team and another by the electrical team. Very efficient and no hassle, also the inverter etc is very neatly installed in the attic and not outside. Highly recommended and delighted with all aspects of the service.
I Can highly recommend this company. From start to finish , their professionalism, knowledge and efficiency . The team from sale manager to fitters to electrician all professional, punctual and polite. We could not be happier with our new solar panels , we have an app which shows us the panels performance daily. Highly recommend caldor solar for value , professional, good communication and a job well done . 👏
Caldor installed our solar panels a year ago. We were very happy with the installation and the service. We are also very happy with the continued contact from Caldor and monitoring of our system. We would recommend Caldor to anyone as a very reliable company
I was introduced to Caldor Solar by a friend who had a solar system installed around 18 months ago. He had a fantastic experience and was more than happy to recommend them to me. From the very first phone call, I was thoroughly impressed. Kamil came out to assess our home and was incredibly professional, taking the time to explain everything in detail — from the benefits of solar to what setup would best suit our needs. The quote was right in line with what I had expected, which was reassuring. To our delight, the installation date came even sooner than planned. The team carried out the work efficiently and left everything clean and tidy. The whole job was completed in just a couple of days. Our system has been up and running for about a week now, and it’s performing brilliantly. I’m genuinely delighted with the experience and would highly recommend Caldor Solar to anyone considering making the switch.
Following a word-of-mouth recommendation we asked Caldor to install our solar panels last year. Throughout the survey, quotation, grant application and installation, Caldor sales team were right beside us. The installation itself was barely noticeable - no mess; no fuss. Following the installation, the Caldor after-sales support team kept a constant eye on our system from with their remote monitoring, helping us through some teething problems with ESB and, later, fixing the root cause. Really an exemplary service that I can't recommend highly enough.
We couldn’t be happier with our experience with Caldor Solar! From start to finish, their team was professional, knowledgeable, and responsive. They walked us through every step of the process — from the initial consultation to the final installation — and made sure we understood all the options. The installation was smooth and completed on time, and the system has been performing perfectly. We are already seeing the savings! It’s clear that Caldor Solar truly cares about quality and customer satisfaction. Would Highly recommend if you are considering solar 👌🏻
From the initial consultation to the final installation, Caldor Solar was absolutely brilliant. The team was professional, efficient, and explained everything clearly. The system was installed without any hassle, and I'm already noticing a big difference in my energy bills. Great service and great value — I’d highly recommend them to anyone thinking about going solar!
A really fantastic experience dealing with Caldor. Had a recommendation from a friend and they made the whole process extremely easy. The installation process was very smooth, and the result is really fantastic in terms of what we've already saved in bills. Support after installation has also been excellent, even with proactive contact from the team there on any questions. Definitely recommend!
Good install; terrible after
Install was fast and they fit a large number of panels on our roof. However, they contacted us a year later to say our system had been offline for three months and that they would need to come out and service it. We waited three more months for them to come out and they fixed the problem in 5 minutes. They said maybe the rain had caused the panels to overload (what??). Next year, we contacted Caldor to disconnect our panels for a roof repair; they took four (4!!) months to come out and do 30 minutes of work. When the roof was repaired, they said it would be another "few" months before they could wouldn't re-install the panels because they weren't sure the new roof would work correctly (huh?). We re-installed them ourselves and they're working fine.
From the get- go Caldor stood out from…
From the get- go Caldor stood out from other companies we called and priced for a home system. After sales service, advice and general all round high quality product deserve an ‘excellent’ level review. And a recent battery upgrade has been flawless and excellent price/ value.
This review could go on forever but I’ll try keep it short. We dealt with Cameron, he missold us a timeclock, we already had one. Had to have it removed from the quote. We also feel he misled us on lead times, with us having to follow up and complain in order to get a date for installation set in stone. It was eventually done after 14 working weeks, Caldor said it was 12 working weeks as they close for 2 weeks in August which was never advised to us. We were also told 2.5kWh battery would be plenty for us and our usage, it’s not. We had many back and forth with the managing director trying to get it resolved or to refund us, they didn’t want to refund us the 30% deposit. We brought up the black trunking on the outside of the house being the cheapest, flimsiest option and also that they didn’t install a fire board, just plasterboard. All of which Eoin, the managing director, without seeing pictures (we offered to send them on) said they were within regulations. Regulations or not, what else have they skimped on with the bare minimum in the install? We advised Eoin the whole way we were not happy with the customer service and it would reflect our review. Caldor were not the cheapest option by a long shot, but we went with them based on reviews / a personal recommendation. Shoutout to Sarah in customer service though, she has been amazing with any queries I’ve had for her. Overall, would not recommend Caldor and if we had the chance to do it again, we would go with another company. I’ve attached pictures of the trunking and plaster board the battery is sat on. The system itself works perfectly.

Evan, the salesperson, explained the process clearly, including panel performance and completing the grant application. The process was smooth and easy. It was an easy decision after we met with Evan in person as he was deciding factor , he was not pushy at all, very knowledgeable, unlike other solar companies trying to force the sale on. Evan was very honest so we knew it was best decision Caldor Solar provided the panels. The installation of the panels went well last week and was minimally intrusive. The staff were friendly and responsive. Six days in, everything is going well. Kamil, Sarah and Ciara were helpful when contacted over phone about payment and the app, answering all queries from the outset. The men who installed the panels arrived on time and worked efficiently and cleanly, as did the electricians involved in the installation. They were polite throughout the process. I will be dealing again in future for batteries so hopefully i will get same treatment/service. Caldor Solar was straightforward to deal with and very helpful. The company provided a solid service.
I contracted Caldor Solar to install 14 solar panels at our new home near Dublin. After much consideration, I wanted to share my experience to help prospective solar panel buyers make an informed choice when selecting a company for their project. The Positives The initial consultation process was efficient and professional. A representative from Caldor Solar visited our property, assessed the roof using a drone, and provided guidance on the number of panels, layout, and expected energy output. The installation itself was completed in a single day. Areas of Concern Unfortunately, my concerns began with the placement of the inverter. It was installed in an unfinished attic, with all cabling laid directly on or embedded in the wool insulation. This decision significantly complicates any future attic conversion, making it impossible unless the inverter is relocated. When I raised this issue with Caldor Solar, their initial response was that the installation complied with regulations, and they refused to consider relocating the inverter. While compliance is important, I believe a good installation should also account for practical considerations, such as maintaining property value and future renovations. Furthermore, Caldor Solar claimed that the inverter’s location had been agreed upon during the initial visit, yet I have no recollection of this discussion—something I am certain I would remember, given its significance. Upon further investigation, I discovered that three other contractors working on identical homes in our estate had all opted to install the inverter outdoors to avoid the exact issue I encountered. After consulting one of these contractors, I was informed that placing the inverter outside was a deliberate decision to ensure future attic conversions would not be hindered—a solution that, in my view, demonstrated greater foresight and consideration. Eventually, after persistent discussions, Caldor Solar agreed to relocate the inverter. However, they refused to cover the cost, meaning I had to pay again for a decision that, in my opinion, should have been made correctly from the outset. Another concern relates to the external cabling. The flexible conduit running from the roof to the lower ground floor is of a very basic and inexpensive quality. On installation day, my wife raised this with the electrician, who verbally agreed to return and install a proper casing. However, Caldor Solar later reneged on this commitment, stating that they do not stock such materials. While this may be true, sourcing a suitable five-meter casing would have been a minor effort and a reasonable customer service gesture. The lack of willingness to accommodate even this small request was disappointing. Notably, the other three contractors in our estate installed more aesthetically pleasing and better-protected cabling, making Caldor Solar’s approach stand out negatively in comparison. Summary of My Experience Pros: Polite and professional staff. Responsive to emails and phone calls. Cons: Poor aftercare service. A reluctance to acknowledge or take responsibility for installation decisions, citing regulatory compliance as a defense. Lower attention to detail compared to competitors. I will leave it to prospective buyers to decide whether Caldor Solar is the right choice for their needs. However, I hope this review provides useful insights for those considering their options.
Poor decision making.

The sales person was more of an experienced consultant, very knowledgeable. We got our panels installed 4 weeks early, and Caldor helped with the electrics too. Price was outstanding. Very solid company to work with - highly recommended.
Caldor Solar installed 12 PV panels on my house in 2023. They were a pleasure to deal with throughout the entire process. The quality of the workmanship on the installation of all the equipment (both on the roof and inside the house) was top notch and the system has been working perfectly ever since. I would highly recommend Caldor Solar to anyone thinking of installing solar panels.
Hello. Caldor installed our solar panels a few months ago. We got 16 panels, a battery and an eddi to heat the water. The whole job was expertly installed, very neat and tidy and is working perfectly since with immediate effect on our electricity bills. I highly recommend Caldor to anybody considering installing a solar system.
Great job from Caldor from quote to installation. Quote was pragmatic discussion with a pre-sales engineer. Ordering and BER rating very smoothly handled. Installation was excellent. The installers arrived on site at 1 and were done by 6 that day - nice guys giving good advice along the way. Ours is a 6.7kWp (21 panels) with a 5KW inverter and a 2.4kWh battery. Reasonable cost a very professional job. Highly recommended
