We have had a terrible experience with Swyft and would not recommend. We originally purchased a PV panel system from Swyft for installation date of late August. It is currently November and there is still no indication of when this will be installed despite of us having paid almost 70% of the agreed costs. An installation had been scheduled for September and cancelled the day before because the wrong mounting brackets had been procured. This was despite an initial survey and roof datasheet being provided in advance of order. After a prolonged period of chasing a new installation date was agreed. The installation team arrived on site and commenced electrical work before it becoming apparent that the incorrect mounting brackets had been procured once again. Weeks later and we have had no further information on when our order will be completed despite chasing them by phone and email several times. Swyft also noted that they would not fully refund the money we had already paid as they had already commenced some of the electrical work (to install an inverter that provides us with absolutely no benefits yet). Throughout the whole process the communication has been terrible and customer service leaves a lot to be desired. An incredibly frustrating experience and we are still not yet finished. I am genuinely surprised to see so many positive reviews for Swyft Energy, as my experience was deeply disappointing from beginning to end. The initial assessment with Des was excellent — he was professional and helpful. Swyft Energy also impressed me initially with a prompt quote and a discount offer if I proceeded quickly, which suited my urgent need for a new boiler. However, once I signed the contract, the communication became non-existent. Despite multiple calls, I was continually promised a callback from a representative named Jessica — a call which never came until I threatened to cancel after two and a half weeks of silence. When installation was finally scheduled, the crew arrived at 8AM — but when my tenants asked for a brief 15-minute delay, they simply left without informing anyone. Despite assurances from Swyft Energy that I would be contacted to rearrange, no one called for over a week. To make matters worse, when I followed up, I was told I had incurred a €550 "missed appointment fee" — a fee that had never been mentioned before and that, frankly, was outrageous given the circumstances. It was only after submitting formal complaints and providing video evidence from a neighbor’s camera that Swyft Energy agreed to waive the fee. The re-arranged installation date took place two months after my initial contract signing, and even then, the day before, I was informed it needed to be postponed again due to an emergency — no mention of a fee that time, notably. When the boiler was finally installed, the experience was, sadly, no better. The installers were rude and dismissive when I asked questions. Worse still, the installation itself did not match what had been agreed upon: instead of running two pipes discreetly through a corner into a wall, they drilled holes unnecessarily and routed unsightly piping across my ceiling — without consulting me at any stage. When questioned about the poor workmanship, the response I received was both unprofessional and insulting. Now, I am left having to hire someone else to fix the mess. Given the amount of money I paid, the quality of service and workmanship I received is utterly unacceptable. In summary: Swyft Energy were quick to take my deposit, but completely absent when it came to communication, customer care, or professional standards. I strongly advise others to think very carefully before choosing them. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Swyft Energy to anyone.

From the moment I found the company on line for a boiler replacement it was a seamless process. Within 3 weeks the job was done. The level of expertise from the initial customer contact to the chap who called to the house and of course the installation itself surpassed my own expectations. Highly recommended.

Avoid if you're looking for good communication and a reasonable response time. Paid a deposit and had no communication for 4 weeks, during these 4 weeks I've emailed and called numerous times only to get an answer twice with an apologetic receptionist telling Me I'd have someone out to my house within 48 hours and never happened. Joke of a company!

Swyft Energy are a fantastic company to deal with. Brian their salesman was able to tell me based on visiting my home exactly what I needed in solar panels to suit my household. He explained everything from how they work to the cost involved. They get the grant paid directly to themselves when the work is done which is great. I was only waiting a few weeks for the panels. The team arrived at 8am and together with the electricians were finished and gone by 1pm. I didn't have to clean up after them. They did all that before leaving. Brian rang me mid morning to check if everything was happening as he had outlined to me. I really appreciated that level of customer service. The electrician helped me with installing the app for the solar panels before leaving. There was nothing left for me to second guess. A fantastic company and a local company. I highly recommend them to anyone thinking of going solar.
