Awful at replying and communicating, constant delays with you having to chase them up. Damaged roofs and missing battery components. Unfortunately, no other service will touch the panels they pu ton so we're stuck with them for faults and maintenance.

We started the process in June-July 2022 with selecting a company that delivers and installs solar panel. Solar Electric had very competitive prices available and delivering waiting times was around 2-3 months. The panels were installed and connected within the same week. It’s now October and despite the weather not being great, we already saving on half of our electricity bills. I could not recommend this most to have solar panels installed if you have the option. We are hoping to save 1K per year and the ROI will be around 7-8 years.

Paid a lot of money for a PV system and battery! A LOT!!! After sales, customer care is non existent. Avoid!!!!! I had a problem that took nearly 4 months to rectify. I have two 'open' tickets on going for a month that I haven't heard one thing from, despite following up on. Previous staff members I was dealing with seem to have left the company, not taking this as a good sign. Got an extortionate quote of over €6k for additional 5kw battery and they actually haven't left room for expansion when I went to check.

Accepted Pinergy's "turnkey solution", had 75% of the project paid for and almost completed (panels installed, cables run in to the building) only to be told on commissioning day that the existing fuse board didn't have enough room to connect to - despite this being opened up and inspected by them prior to starting the project! Calls and emails ignored, eventually quoted €5800 (~50% of the cost of the solar installation!) to have the board upgraded, and told this was the only possible solution. After months of arguing an alternative electrician was able to find a resolution for just €620 and the project was able to complete. Mentions of the solar grant all over their website and in sales call yet they neglected to apply for it: €3600 grant down the drain. Terrible experience from start to finish, avoid.

Despite being paid in full, Pinergy failed to lodge required documents with SEAI, thereby putting my grant in jeopardy. When I emailed on numerous occasions, my concern on the matter, Pinergy Solarelectric refused to answer my emails. However, it later transpired that the delay fault lay with the SEAI software system and not Pinergy. The solar system installed by Pinergy has worked flawlessly since.
