Delighted with Kyle and the team at KM Solar. Kyle was happy to work with a pre-installed ground mount and pergola roof. The system is 8.2kw with a Huawei inverter and 10kwh battery storage. As of 2024, the Huawei battery can only be charged from the grid at a rate of 3kw. However, unlike many other batteries it can be fully discharged so you get to utilise the maximum storage capacity. It takes almost 4 hours to charge from 5% to 100%. This is perfect for charging at the Energia cheap 4-hour night rate. A larger battery would not have enough time to fully charge on this night rate. After 10 months the system has worked flawlessly. Kyle installed on time and gave great advice. We also got an Eddi which can heat the hot water from solar but we don't use it as, for now, it's more cost effective to heat water overnight and sell the daytime surplus back to the grid. It's still good to have it installed VAT-free and will be great if feed-in-tarriffs become less favourable. We moved to electric heating and, for us, it is proving more economical than oil (bungalow). The surplus sold back to the grid during the summer months help offset the higher cost of the winter months. I would have no hesitation in recommending KM Solar for any type of PV install.

Everything was fitted to spec with the minimum of disruption during the installation and full back up from Kyle who explained everything to us including the apps to download to monitor all aspects of the equipment.
