Very pleased with all aspects of the company from pleasant office staff to the guys who replaced my generation meter in a clean and timely fashion. I can wholeheartedly recommend H&A services.

Hard to recommend. Estate agent engaged company to service a gas boiler, they called to say it needed a part at around £180, so we told them to proceed. Turns out it didn't need this part but they took it upon themselves to fit other parts and sent us a bill for £742! For a boiler service! This is insanity when a new boiler can be bought for marginally more. Wouldn't recommend, plenty of competent companies who can diagnose and service your boiler without fitting lots of unnecessary parts.

I wasn't going to bother writing a review until a friend had a similar experience. H&A at more than one occasion tried to take the easy/lazy option for my gas installation. 1 - They didn't want to box in a large section of the gas mains on my exterior and suggested I get up a ladder and paint the pipe. They reluctantly agreed to box it in after I told them that was what I was promised when the job was priced. 2 - They didn't want to connect the gas hob properly and instead tried to run a gas pipe through my kitchen units. When the next engineer called out that was due to do the final connection he couldn't believe that they had tried to do it this way and had to call out a 3rd engineer to undo all the work so it could be fitted properly. 3 - When fitting the shower they basically put a copper pipe at a level in the roof space that made the entire half of my roof space unusable. It would have taken no time at all to lay it properly. (this was fixed after I complained). 4 - They did the same with the other side of the roof space with another pipe, this time they added a makeshift support but if I was to put any weight put on it there would be a bust water pipe in no time. I can get over this one but its shoddy workmanship at best. 5 - Within days we discovered a leak. It was repaired twice before they sent someone to replace a pipe that should have been replaced in the 1st place. 6 - My installation was on a Friday and supposed to be a 1 day job, however within 20 minutes of them being there I was told it would be longer (I didn't mind) however I got the feeling this was a Friday job and everyone was rushing to get home.... They come across as a professional outfit but as long as the job is complete I don't think they care how its done. I wouldn't recommend H&A and would suggest going with a smaller installer that would show some care in the work that they are doing.

after agreeing to put my appointment back by a week I thought they would be on time to service my gas boiler, wrong. I waited in all morning on my day off work for no one to arrive and not even a phone call to let me know what was happening. I phoned at 230pm to be told engineer was 10 minutes away and he eventually turned up three quarters of an hour later! Looks like I'll be getting someone else to service my boiler next year.
